Positive all round - we stayed for three nights. The room was comfortable, the food good and copious, and our hostess, Marie, extremely pleasant. Thoroughly recommended. (By the way, there is a fridge/freezer in the outhouse available for guests to use - in the heat, this proved very useful in preparing to keep things fresh for our ongoing journey.)

If you don't want the Gite d'Etape, there are 2 hotels close by at the top of the village -Iparla (excessively modern and functional) and a charming looking inn opposite the church. Otape and Nobilia are a long way for walkers, but Gastonchoanea gets my vote.
Don't turn right up the hillside just before the stone bridge, continue down the lane and it is on the right. Easy!
The welcome is genuine and friendly. The rooms are large, well decorated, comfortable and en suite. Do take Demi-pension. Communal table. Good but uninspiring local cuisine.
Great value. A memorable stay.

1 Thank Martin P
