Serge & Marie were very welcoming & excellent hosts, most helpful in suggesting what to see & do & providing a really good service. We had the cottage sleep out - quirky, but very comfortable (though small) with a great en suite. A great base to explore further north to Farewell Spit & Wharariki Beach and the northern part of...

The hosts Serge & marie really do make you welcome and do everything they can to make your stay in Abel a great experience. We have wonderful memories of the stay there and the area itself. The property is a 15 minute walk to the centre of the village and the Takaka village has lots to offer: good selection of...

Serge gave us a very friendly welcome and was helpful with advice on where to eat etc, The en-suite room was perfectly comfortable with a garden outlook, and was light and reasonably large. It was nice to have the use of the spa tub after a long day. The breakfast was very good and they catered well for my gluten...

Loved this B&B - friendly and welcoming, rooms perfectly clean with good linen, plenty of towels, and a delicious breakfast. If you're after five-star luxury then go elsehwhere, but if you're after clean comfortable and homely accommodation this is perfect. Plus of course the hot tubs, sauna and pool - bliss. This B&B was very clean and had all the facilities we needed. The hosts are just lovely. Friendly and helpful without being in your face. Breakfast was wonderful. Room comfortable.Although a fan would’ve been great as it was a very humid night and when our door was closed it was very hot.

Located on the west edge of Takaka with a rural outlook. The owners made us welcome from the moment we arrived and throughout our stay. Well designed and appointed indoors and out (gardens, pool, hot tub and sauna). Comfortable beds, spacious dining area, fine breakfast. Terrific, friendly, helpful service.

We stayed one night in this beautiful B&B. The lovely owners did everything to make us feel at home. Nice and clean room with comfy bed. Delicious homemade breakfast and top of that you can use the spa facilities. Wish we could stay longer!

What a great place this B&B is! We stayed for 2 nights in the cottage, and enjoyed it very much. Not only is the place nice, but its owners are very chatty and open. They immediately make you feel comfortable when you arrive. They even let us use the barbecue, which was great as we could cook some delicious lamb....

Simply an amazing B&B. We stayed here after a long trek in the Tasman mountains and gold coast area. The hosts are so nice, so welcoming and flexible. The room was well appointed, the spa is a perfect addition, and the breakfast was everything you could want. Homemade breads, eggs made to order, homemade jams, and so forth. The house...
