My brother-in-law and I stayed at the Village House in early June for a week. The entire experience was magnificent. Gabian is very centrally located in SW France with Carcassonne about an hour to the west and Avignon and Chateauneuf-du-pape about two hours to the east. And there's lots to see and do in between. The Village House is magnificent;...

The Village House offers guests the utmost in comfort, beautiful decor, and the polite, and utter kindness of the proprietors, John and Jean-Maurice. Located in a small Occitan village with vineyards, several chateaux and several fine restaurants not too distant, here is where one can gain the luxury of peace, tranquility, and beauty that so abounds the greater Languedoc-Roussilon region....

Ok, I have to admit to being a little biased here as John and I used to work together in the UK. This was our second visit, the last time being seven years ago. Since we were last there John and Jean Maurice have bought the house next door that looks into their courtyard. They are slowly and sensitively converting...

this was our fist time in Gabian and with the Village House. One again the Sawday's recommendation was first class. The grey door which opens onto a small back street belies the interior of the house and the welcome from John and Jean-Maurice. The rooms are delightful, the outside space so relaxing and the breakfasts well thought through and excellent....

we have just returned having spent three nights at The Village House. It is superb, the two rooms are comfortable, beautifully decorated (have reurned with the desire to redecorate!|) John and Jean-Maurice are very welcoming hosts, nothing was too much trouble to them. The guest terrcxe is wonderful - ideal for evening snacks and drinks. Will certainly return.

The Village House was everything we had expected and more. The rooms were very tastefully decorated and furnished and were extremely comfortable. The guest balcony was a great place to relax and soak up the sun and to unwind in the evening with a glass of the locally produced wine. The house is situated in the centre of Gabian, a...

Most welcoming owners in this beautifully decorated B&B in a very traditional village. The interior is immaculate and very French with all the right modern touches. Breakfast was outside on the terrace with a nice selection of breakfast options. On colder days we had a lovely table set indoors. We were in the area house hunting and the owners were...
