This was a 5 day stay in early December. We were lucky and got some good snowfall even in this past low snow year. Hotel staff service was cordial and professional. Please note that the green runs here might be a bit steep for pure beginners. Anyway, a wonderful ski holiday and we'll likely be back.

We stayed here for 3N, 3 pax in two separate twin bedrooms, facing the mountains. Snow Rental equipments can be made at the hotel itself. The slopes are wide and very suitable for beginners. Full day Lift passes for hotel guest is 5500yen. There’s a big gift shop where you can buy food, drinks and souvenirs. They have both outdoor and indoor onsens within the hotel and it’s a good size. Breakfast sets- you can choose from Westeen or Japanese sets. The only drawback is there’s no chances to the food served for the 4 days that we were there. Free-flow furano milk and coffee and tea at breakfast. There’s a free coffee station at the main lobby, 2-7pm daily. Would recommend for skiers and snowboarders. We drove there and parking is free. There’s free luggage trolleys on arrival also which is fantastic for huge baggages.

The hotel has a swanky looking lobby, and there is a gift shop. Our room seems a bit dated. The room was strange - coming into the room, there was a long hallway, seemed more like an apartment than a hotel room. The bed was comfortable, and the lighting and radio controls were good. Our room (731) looked out onto the parking lot. It would've been nice to have been on the other side of hotel, which I believe looked out onto the mountain and ski areas. However, we did have a view out over the valley - very pretty. The dining room (where we had dinner, and breakfast the next morning) was cavernous. It felt like a convention center hall. Serviceable though.

Stayed for 5 days. Decided to stay at ski in and ski out New Prince hotel because of the reviews, thought it would be the best bet from all the uncertainties. Here are some of the highlights: 1. Breakfast on B1 was great, it was something to look forward to before going the bed. Croissants were amazing! 2. Locker facility, ski rental and staff were very attentive and accommodating and it's easily accessible from the rooms. 3. The corner room and perhaps the whole hotel interiors were past over upgraded deadline. Stayed at 901 and thought the view looking at the top of the hill was awesome. Had to ask for a higher floor, initially they put us on the 2nd floor. But I reckon staying at the other end of the hotel at X21 rooms would offer even better scenic view. 4. Onsen facility is a really nice feature the hotel offers, must experience it. I did, every night! 5. The Japanese Restaurant on the 12th floor offers really delicious meals, had two dinners at it and both were pleasant. 6. Took a hotel Bus ride to town (to the other Prince hotel) and it was very short distance and convenient. Overall the hotel offers the service what it possibly can render to its guests. Tripadvisor reviews give pretty accurate overall perceptions in terms of how outdated the facility are, but I suspect everyone would still have pleasant experience staying in it. The staff, the accessibility and the conveniences gives a pleasant experience in enjoying a Furano ski activity.

If you are planning to ski in Furano, this may be a good (and only?) ski and out option. The software is really not bad. Service staff were good all round. The breakfast service is crowded but good quality (ikura served in the buffet and freshly baked croissants). The hardware needs a reboot. The fabric on the chairs in my room were badly stained. there is no charging outlet for the mobile devices next to the bed. The onsen while decent is a very long walk from the rooms. So my feelings are mixed. I would give it a 3.5 ranking if I could.
