The location was near the train station, it's a bit of a walk especially when considering lugging your luggage on winter snow, but is very near. It is less than 1km walk to most restaurants and stores. We had a van during our trip during the day, but in the evenings, we would just walk back from the restaurants. Everything was quite near.
The hotel facilities were great. Rooms were ok, small for Western standards but bigger than other Japanese city hotels. They had twin rooms which was great for a comfortable sleep. And their double room had a queen-sized bed. Both types of rooms with a small couch to sit. The rooms were cleaned every day and amenities were replenished according to our preference, you can ask to just change towels if you wish.
Loved that it had private onsens too, with a 3 pax capacity. I went on my own, and had to wait a bit, despite it being late at night but it was really worth it to experience. The private onsens had their own bath and dry area to dry your hair, etc. It was indoors but had a view of the city at night.
The lobby had free-flowing UCC coffee, orange juice, and water. There is also a small area to sit while waiting. There were ice machines and microwave ovens on certain floors too which was really helpful for breakfast. Didn't get a chance to enjoy the buffet breakfast as we had early starts each day we were there, but we heard good feedback from other guests. They also offer free ramen (really yummy one as well) every night for an hour, free Yakult in the morning, and free ice pops on the onsen floor. Love the experience of staying in this hotel.

Pros - 1) Hotel is centrally located in town and close to many eateries and a small supermarket/drugmart and JR station.
2) Our room was huge and spotless with a separate living area and a great view of the mountain range from the windows.
3) Free tea/coffee/orange juice at the lobby + free ramen from 10-11pm daily + free probiotic drink (from Nissin, not Yakult) from 5am - 10am daily + free ice pops/cream from 3pm to 1am daily. There are 2 free massage chairs (15mins per cycle) + comics on the 9th floor as well. Private onsens (3 in total) are on a first come first served basis at no charge.
4) The washing machines (8 in total) are free to use and only the dryers require payment (100 JPY for 20mins).
Cons - 1) There are very limited car park lots adjacent to the hotel. Capark #1 just behind only holds 9 cars whilst Carpark #2 opposite holds 50 cars. We had to park at Carpark #3 throughout our stay (3 nights), which was ~5mins walk away. Or you can take the on-demand shuttle service to the carpark.
Afterword - We previously stayed at Furano Natulux just down the road from La Vista about 16 months ago. Whilst we enjoyed our stay at Natulux, La Vista offers more bang for the buck at similar price points imho.

Such a wonderful hotel with a great location. The staff is friendly and the hotel is a 4 minute walk from the train station. The room is large, comfortable and modern. The breakfast buffet is delicious, and is a decent price for the selection.
The onsens at the top floor are amazing. They are large, clean and modern. Most onsens I visited during this trip were pretty worn down, perhaps someday this one will be too but not right now, it is in great condition. There is a large indoor bath, a large outdoor bath with a beatiful view of the mountains and two outdoor tubs. There are plenty of showering areas in the Onsen area and plenty of amenities to make sure you are comfortable. There are also 3 private baths that is first come, first serve with a 30 minute limit each. This is based on the honor system and I experienced people taking a full hour in there, but most people respect the limit. The hotel rooms have a system to let you know if the private baths are free and how long someone has been in there. These private baths also have a great view of the mountains.
There are free ice pops in the afternoon and free yogurt drinks in the morning in the rest area of the Onsen. There are two massage chairs available for use if you don't feel like bathing, I used this several times throughout my stay.
There is also FREE laundry machines in this hotel, you only have to pay for the dryer.
The hotel is also located near the town center, so plenty of convenience stores and restaurants nearby. Highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Furano.

Good location with beautiful surroundings view in the winter. I believe JR station is walking distance from the hotel. The plus side of this hotel is their public hot spring bath. The bath is well maintained and they have private rooms (3 rooms) as well as outdoor bath in the main area. The hotel breakfast was great with plenty of variety to choose from. We also had dinner there and it was enjoyable and the taste was great. The hotel also served free ramen noodles during night time but unfortunately we missed it as we were too busy enjoying the hot spring bath.

Hotel near JR Station Many guests who drive on the day of arrival Long line of waiting at the door After passengers get off the car, hotel staff will guide them to nearby parking spaces The parking lot is about seven minutes walk from the hotel Not far but a little dark in the evening
The size of the accommodated double room is moderate Bright and clean Bath is dry and separate The view of the hotel's top floor is good. Open air public bath is great Clean and spacious There are three private hot tubs with different spring quality The bubble pool is also different. Every one is worth a try There is a library with a massage chair next door Another rest area with ice bars and lactic drinks Evening and bread but there is no room to eat a little sad
Breakfast is delicious and has seafood丼 and a variety of Hokkaido ingredients Overall, it is a very cost-effective hotel Later there will be a chance to choose to stay here again

Arrived here after a long drive in the rain from Sapporo. First impression was not at all positive. This was because there is a railway track a stones throw from the front of the building and the car park was an open air car park on the side of the hotel.
Thịs impression soon changed. First thing we noticed was the free coffee, orange juice and tea facilities situated in the corner of a very neat and tidy check in area and lounge.
The was excellent and the in room amenities excellent. The hot spring on the 9th floor was spacious and had more than ample space for a comfortable soak.
Food options wise, there are a few decent restaurants a short walk from the hotel.
Overall, a very pleasant couple of nights stay.

The location is good which is near the station. Room is clean, although it is not spacious, it is enough for one or two guests. the onsen area is at the top floor, they have 3 private onsen rooms which are on first come first serve basic, an outdoor onsen will give you a beautiful view in the morning. You can enjoy the complimentary ice cream, ice lolly and noodles after having onsen. Free parking is available, but maybe taken up in the peak season, a small parking lot is next to the hotel with 30sec walk. I will book this hotel again.

Hotel has public bath and also FREE private bath for guests to use 30 mins each time! From hotel to the famous ningle terrace only 5-8 mins drive Will definitely come to stay again

I've visited loads of hotels of different types in Japan - cheap and expensive ryokans, chain business hotels, boutique hotels etc. This is a premium chain style hotel (part of Dormy Inn group).
I was impressed by what I thought was a very good value stay. Our rate was around 15,500 Yen per night including breakfast. Breakfast is good. Large selection.
We came here on a skiing trip and the ski lifts are only around 5-10 minutes drive from the hotel. Parking is free. You can buy a 1 day adult lift pass for 5500 Yen instead of the normal price 6000 Yen at the front desk. You'll be given a voucher to exchange for a lift pass at the ski resort ticket counter.
The onsens on the 9th floor are fantastic. The communal open air one is great and you can feel snow falling on your head as you bathe. The 3 private onsens are first come first serve (no reservation) but we had no trouble using them every day, sometimes requiring a short wait outside. They are decorated in different styles and feel luxurious. There is free milk and ice lollies, and free massage chairs. Unfortunately in this area there is one relaxing but annoying song around 2 minutes long on repeat... All day... Probably my only criticism of the hotel!! It must drive the staff crazy.
The views are beautiful in all directions - this is one of the tallest buildings in Furano. One side you have the nearby ski resort and mountains, the other side is the more distant Daisetsuzan national park.
Lots of good value restaurant choices nearby. Much better choice vs. the area near the ski lifts.
I'd definitely recommend staying here, particularly if you have a car.
