Log Yukari guest house was located far from the Furano JR Station (hence inaccessible by foot nor bus). Please do note that Mr Ebi provides JR Transit. Mr Ebi and his wife were very nice and friendly, but they do not speak much English, hence knowing simple Japanese would be of an advantage. The other guests were also very friendly and kind. Mr Ebi also provides day trips (to Biei, Rokugou and other places) at a very good price, and I highly recommend it for travelers with no form of private transport.

The log cabin was cozy and cute. It had 4 beds in the loft and a couch on the main floor. We could cook our own meals which was a treat! And it had an awesome bathtub. While the boys were out skiing I didn't have too much to do so Mr. Ebi and his wife took me to see sights around furano. They showed me the Anpanman museum, jam shop, glass forest, went out to eat and went to the local winery after to finish off the tour. They were so lovely. They dont speak much English but have a handy english/japanese picture dictionary. The location is gorgeous! Its not too far from things, Mr. ebi will shuttle you there and can arrange to be picked up but a taxi is only about 1,000¥. I highly reccomend this place. Cozy cabin, amazing hosts, beautiful setting.

The host offers free pick up and see of from/to Furano station.
If you need to travel around from Furano station, you should pay little charge of 200Yen/way then the host will drive you to and pick up as well daily.
You can also enjoy free breakfast with toast, jam, tea and coffee.
The atmosphere to stay in a Logde is unique. The female dorm room is comfortable.
Only the inconvenience is the shared bathroom is just one cabin for female and you should wait. The bathroom is not well closed so it is cold even in summer when having bath. We wonder how it will be in winter time.

We have been stayed in this lodge for three nights. The hosts were incredibly friendly and made us feel like staying at home. You can cook your own meals and washing clothes. This place is good for exploring Furano and surrounding area. Do take note that you need a bit patience to find the road to the place.

set in the middle of forest, you need to ask them to pick you up at the station for a small fee (around 200 yen, if my memory's correct).
the temperature was less than in downtown during my stay (summer). the bed is good enough but the stairs are steep, be careful!
the owner is nice and friendly. try their bungalow if you're travelling in group.

We booked a cottage (6 people) which was fully equipped with cooking and shower/toilet facilities. Not as accessible from Furano station but there was a free shuttle (JR station and ski resorts). During winter there is a heater (1500yen/night on top of accommodation costs), but toilets/shower areas can get quite cold.

But it was a very peaceful and perfect for a relaxing and unique place to stay in. The owners were very friendly and really went the extra mile in making sure our stay was a comfortable one. They do not speak English but use a voice translator to communicate. Would definitely go back again.

Our group of 10 (two families) stayed in Log Yukari for five nights. It was a bit tight but really very comfortable. The cabin was so cute and cosy. Such great service from the hosts too. Pick and drop offs. Outings if you would like any. Questions answered. Help given. Always so friendly. Such a pretty place. Love to go back! Highly recommend this value for money cabin. Fantastic!

If you are like me and find four star hotels and modern ski lodges grisly then Log Fukari may be for you. Unbelievably helpful and friendly hosts, comfortable rustic cabins, quiet and beautiful surrounds and a short drive from the slopes enabled my kids and I to have a sensational six day stay in Furano. To optimize the experience it would be best to rent a little car in town because restaurants, cafe's, shops and the railway/bus station are all just beyond walking distance but given the fantastic value of Log Fukari having the freedom that renting a little car offers makes the whole package still a great deal for those on a budget.

Stayed for 2 nights in August. The cabin is a no-frills accomodation and the location a bit inconvenient if you don't have a car. It is a 45min walk to Furano Station but the owner offers free check-in/checkout pick-up and drop-off and a small fee for other pick-ups which is great. Other than the location, the place has all the kitchen amenities you need for a simple meal, free self-service laundry, comfortable and cosy dorm and most importantly friendly owners! All in all, a good stay!

Super helpful Hosts organising lift passes and onsen tickets. Great drying room for ski gear. Warm log cabins and good cooking facilities. Value for money, 7 people in 2 log cabins for 6 nights. Only 5 minutes drive away from furano ski field. Close to other ski fields also.
