We recently arrived at Chalet Fuyuri for a 1 week stay with our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teenagers). We were very happy with our 2 bed self contained apartment in a small complex with 5 apartments in total. Very clean and spacious with all the thing you need. The beds were comfortable and there was excellent heating. Two seperate bathrooms and in-unit washer/dryer. The kitchen was small but had all the things you need to self cater. Daily cleaning service and wifi was a bonus. The views were amazing and the location was so close to the gondola (only a few minutes stroll away). The staff were very friendly and helpful and offered free shuttle service to JR station. Excellent value for money. Furano ski resort was excellent for skiing, big wide runs and variety for all. Ski hire options were great (suggest to pre-book at busy times). Lockers available at the gondola so you don’t have to carry your gear around. The restaurant options are not vast, but the Furano township and grocery stores are only 1.5km from the accomodation. Only downside was no access to smart TV so can’t access English speaking channels- or own Netflix account. We would highly recommend and definitely be back.

We stayed for a couple days in July 2018 in the 2 bedroom apt. It was pleasantly spacious and comfortable. View of the city was great and staff was ever so friendly. The proximity to city center for shopping and dining was close for driving but a bit of a hike to walk. The walls are a bit thin as we could hear our neighbors running around. Room service took much longer than the typical hotel room due to the larger apt sizes. We loved the place and would stay again.

After my one night stay in Noboribetsu, I drove to Furano and checked in chalet Fuyuri. I happened to chance upon it in a random search online and read about the good review of this place. The price is very reasonable - cheaper if you have a family of four like me. And I can tell you I enjoyed the place very much. I booked a 2 bedroom deluxe apartment. On the ground floor, you have one room with two single beds and shower room. The other is a master bedroom of queen size bed with a bathtub and shower room. The toilet is shared so it maybe a bit inconvenience. The rooms are not big and you can drag your luggage’s into the rooms. We end up placing them on the second floor. The second floor is a big living room and open kitchen. Free wifi and there are many utensils and kitchenware provided if you wish to cook in the house. Washing machines and dryers are also provided on the ground floor. We were so delighted that we washed all our dirty clothes that we wore for the past three days. There are balconies on the ground and second floor. My apartment has a very scenic view of the Furano town. I loved the decor of the apartment and layout of the furniture. Good make use of the available space though my wife complained the room is a bit small. Most importantly, the service of staff especially Yani is exceptional. Upon reservation, I received a message from her to find out how and what time I would be arriving. She shared with me the map code of the place knowing I was driving. In Japan, we usually use tel phone number to locate GPS but their phone number would lead me to another place. Once I reached there, maybe I was earlier, there was no one at the reception office. But there was a phone to call and within 5 min, Yani and her colleagues arrived and she showed us into the apartment and explained patiently how to use the different amenities and kitchenware. She spoke good English and nicely shared with us some famous restaurants and shopping areas in Furano. Out of all the places that I visited in Hokkaido, I loved Furano the most, the scenic and countryside settings appeal me most. And I would urge that you can forgo hotels and check yourself into this quiet and charming chalet to spend your holiday.

This is a 2.5 storey house comprises of 2 bedrooms. It can accommodate 6 people with the other 2 on futon (Japanese’s mattress). The ground floor houses the 2 bedrooms. The master bedroom (Kings bed about 180 cm width) has an attached bathroom with both bathtub and shower separated from the powder room. The toilet is by itself outside the bedrooms. The other room (2 single beds) has an attached smaller shower room. The washing machine is located inside the master bedroom. Washing detergent is provided. The laundry comes out dry and almost ready for wearing. The living room & kitchen is on the 2nd floor. It comes with fridge, stove, microwave oven, thermoflask, kettle, utensils and cutleries for cooking. Kitchen towel, kitchen cloth, sponge and liquid soap for washing cutleries are available. There is another tatami living room on the 2nd floor and on the 3rd floor is an empty attic occupying half the area (my guess is for those sleeping on the futon). The master bedroom and 2nd floor has a balcony overlooking the city and mountains. Great view in winter. It’s a 5-minute walk from the ski lift. The place is quiet & secluded but Chalet Fuyuri provide free shuttle service to or from town back but limited only once a day to one unit and has to be reserved one hour in advance. We usually take the free shuttle bus to town and come back by taxi. We can ask the restaurant or shop counter to help us call a taxi. It cost about ¥1,500-2,000 to town which is about 7-10 minutes. Chalet Fuyuri front desk helped us call a taxi or make restaurant reservations but front desk is closed at 8pm. The place is very clean, room and water are heater working well, water pressure is good, too. It’s a non smoking place. Check in is fast, service is great. They clean up place daily at around 10am and changed the towels. Toiletries and hairdryer is provided. Spacious free car park. The only limitation is the rooms are small and hardly have any space for luggage. The 2nd floor is very spacious though. The washing machine should not be in the bedroom as it could be quite noisy at night especially it takes 4 hours to wash and dry. As the staircase is narrow, it is not a place for wheelchair or old people with difficulty in climbing stairs. Overall, it’s a place I highly recommend for a family as it feels like home.

There are total 5 apartments under one roof. Location is not easy to access. The 2 bedrooms apartment with 2 bathroom & a common toilet is just right for 4 of us. The Living room is spacious, clean & well equipped kitchen include oil & sauces is located at 2nd floor. Awesome view from the living room! We had 2 great night stay.

This is a small, but relatively new chalet operation with only several suites in one large building. Its location is a little tricky to find it as it is hidden behind some trees beyond a short dirt road straight to the north from Furano Ski Resort’s Kita-no-mine Ski Lift Terminal The suite we had was made of two floors. The lower floor had the bedroom and toilet and the second floor had the living room, bathroom, kitchen and washing machine/dryer. It took us a few ups and downs before we got used to the suite configuration. Everything was clean and we fully appreciated it. For dinner, we drove out to one of the main streets nearby and found a local restaurant. For breakfast the following morning, we drove to a local Mcdonald’s on Highway 38.

Situated close to a ski resort. However can only be reached beyond a gravel lined drive way. Probably impossible to find at night so best to reach before sun down. The chalet itself is very clean and new. The 2 bedrooms are located on the ground floor. A rather cramped layout. Only one toilet altogether so take note. Washing machine on the ground floor. Large bathtub in one room and a small ensuite shower in the other room. The living room on the second floor is huge. There is a tamami mat area that can probably sleep another 2. The loft has a bed as well. The kitchen is very clean. Cutlery all clean and well maintained. Nice garden with lavender growing all around. As a nice bonus - there is a family of foxes living along the gravel path that leads to the hotel! Spotted them multiple times while driving out. Asobiya 20% off coupon on checking in. That's an adventure company right next to the chalet that offers hot air ballon rides and various other activities. Overall excellent place to stay if you are driving. Clean and new.

Owner is very kind, polite l, friendly. Din notice he is Ski instructor. Offer to send us to JR station. He do explain the different season of visit what to expect and to enjoy in Furano. We there during the winter, the backyard is cover with snow and it really beautiful. White with dim yellow light make it more attractive to relax for a hot sake and japan snack.

We stayed in this chalet for 3 days two nights and found it to be spacious for our family of 3. For our unit #105, the Japanese type bathroom and toilet is on separate floors and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare for a meal. The washing machine and dryer two in one was also an added bonus. Only 5 minutes walking distance to the foot of the gondola. Only disadvantage is: you need to buy the groceries ahead of time and the walls are a bit thin.
