What a gem! Furano Hotel is a very special and peaceful retreat. It is one of those places that you really don’t want others to find out about. The hotel staff were very professional and helpful. My room was well appointed with a lavish bathroom and a large lanai. The hotel has sizable grounds, yet maintains an intimate setting with its limited number of guest rooms. The commons spaces are vast and beautifully decorated with very unique furnishings and beautiful artwork. The location is a bit off of the beaten path (which is part of its charm) and the property is surrounded by forests with mountains in the distance. When I visited, lavender delicately perfumed the July air. Looking over my patio balcony, a small lavender field was front and center with an up and coming sunflower field next to it. I followed the walking path to the vegetable garden to see where much of the herbs and produce that are used in the restaurants are grown. On the grounds between the vegetable gardens and the lavender fields is the “art tent” complete with unique and beautiful furnishings, as well as art supplies. It is a wonderful place to spend some time on a rainy afternoon.
I had half board for my stay and the meals were just fabulous…. both dinner and breakfast. Complimentary apple pie, pudding and beverages were put out at about check in time. Complimentary night time snacks were a nice surprise. The public baths were very relaxing.
Overall I had an excellent stay and I look forward to a return trip!

This one of the side trips from Sapporo where you will enjoy an overnight stay in Furano to fully enjoy and appreciate this place to its fullest. Lavender fields, musk melon, sweet corn, hot springs and much more... it's all in the spirit of Furano.

The hotel package includes the dinner and breakfast which is of surprisingly high quality. The dinner is worth a special mention with its most tender beef alongside with its accompanying dishes. Simple yet elegant.

The executive lounge, available to all guests, offer complementary drinks and light snacks during the stay. Alcoholic beverages like beer and wine are also included.

The all in packaged price is well worth it!

We visited in the middle of winter. Although it was almost fully booked a week before, there were only 4-5 groups of guests when we visited, so we were able to spend a very quiet and relaxing time. The breakfast and dinner were excellent dishes using local ingredients, and were perfect for our tastes. The portions were just right, and we ate everything. When you think of winter in Furano, you think of skiing, but this time we didn't ski, but instead tried a guided snowshoe tour. The cool wind in the quiet forest felt good on my cheeks, and the feeling of stepping on the fluffy new snow was indescribable, and we enjoyed the tour. We are very grateful that they were flexible in responding to our requests, such as providing a room for us to change clothes after checking out on the last day, and providing a shuttle bus outside of business hours.

I came back to Hokkaido for the first time in a long time after my trip there had been put off due to COVID-19. Other hotels had an uneasy atmosphere due to the inbound tourists, but here I was able to stay very quietly. The large room was a shame, but it was well cleaned and I was able to stay comfortably. I often don't have dinner because I can't eat a lot these days, but the apple pie, the rice dumplings for dinner, and the breakfast were all very delicious. It was a shame that the open-air bath was closed in winter, but I would definitely like to visit again in spring, autumn, or when the lavender blooms.

I felt safe in a low-rise three-story building.
I felt at home dealing with the staff naturally.
The food was not all Viking, so I was able to calm down.
There were spacious sofas, including a lobby, and you could relax and eat in a large space where you could relax.

The room was spacious and the large communal bath was very nice and had a more down-to-earth feel than most large hotels.
The amount and taste of the dinner was excellent. The salad at breakfast was delicious.
We had a great holiday, with views of the snow-capped Tokachi mountain range and the sea of clouds. There is a convenient minibus to take us to Furano Station. However, it is quite far from the Furano ski resort, taking about 10 minutes by taxi. This is an inconvenient feature for skiers, but it was helpful that the after-ski hot springs, afternoon snacks, and after-dinner alcohol and snacks are all free.

I chose this hotel because I wanted to spend my time quietly and avoiding the everyday.
Even in a hotel with a sense of nature, I was able to spend time listening to the sky, the garden, and insects without overworking. I walked out of my room onto the balcony and saw 180 gardens, and it was quiet and I could see the clouds all the way. You can go out to the garden from the lounge and take a walk.
In the lounge at night, it was a free drink, so I spent a lot of time reading books, looking at objects and almost never meeting anyone.
The food was fresh, of course, but I woke up to its beauty, and even though it was so delicious and I didn't have time to eat it early, I was able to relax.
Everything was like a dream and I was able to spend time away from everyday life. Thank you very much.
It was a life-changing hotel.
I will definitely come again.

We are always impressed by the delicious vegetables,
but this time they were even more welcoming to us than last time,
and we can't even consider other accommodations.
Winter in Furano is of course harsh,
but I would recommend coming in the middle of winter.
The crisp below-freezing air, the silence...
and the delicious food and beautiful winter scenery...
I still think this is the best place in Furano.

It's such a great accommodation that I don't really want to tell others about it.
We had a wonderful winter break again.
Thank you very much.

If you want a relaxing time, you will get it here. Delicious food - actually it's fine dining standard and a complimentary bar service is provided. The staff are friendly and super polite but their English standard could be improved.

There were a few negatives for us. We were offered a fairly cool welcome to a sterile lobby - a lot of dithering and misunderstandings took place due to the poor English standard. Then there was the problem of no wifi whatsoever in the hotel even though it was advertised by Agoda as having wifi in public areas. This would have sufficed had it been true but it was a major annoyance. Beware also that the rooms only have baths - none of the rooms have a shower and getting ready in the morning took ages. The beds have dated bedding - the bedspreads are 80's style. We arrived on 2nd June and the heating in the building had been turned off so we were always cold! The air conditioning just blew cold air. There is no English TV channel and the paper they deliver in the morning is Japanese language.

If you are into fine dining you might enjoy this place. However, the facilities and services don't match the food standard so be warned that you could be cold and disappointed if arriving in the next couple of weeks. It's been ranked as a B&B but it's a hotel with some poor facilities. It's expensive to stay here so make sure you appreciate fine dining and you have a car. It's a 5 minute drive from town but quite remote. There is no transport here whatsoever. We would not return.

We spent 2 nights here recently during our flower tour of Hokkaido. The hotel was perfect in every way apart from the fact that we could not find a suitable piece of furniture to place our 2 pieces of large luggage. In addition, we struggled to take our shower in the bath tub as we are no connoisseurs of spas. The large sunken bath complete with water jets was completely wasted on us.

This beautifully furnished hotel of 25 rooms has direct views of the Tokachi mountain as well as sprawling grounds comprising mature trees, flowers including lavender and some sunflowers, and vegetables. We enjoyed our walks every day before and after our day tours.

Service staff was friendly and helpful and the food was out of this world. We had 2 very delightful dinners and breakfasts as well as one lunch. Though the hotel rate is not low by any means, we felt it was well worth the price we paid which included dinner and breakfast besides the room and free drinks - minibar and bar. We especially enjoyed the Biei beef and abalone dishes in both our dinners and marvelled at the Japanese and western breakfast both mornings. We were lucky to be able to order lunch as this is only offered during summer - we had a lovely roast pork dish for lunch for less than 2,000 yen on the day we checked in while waiting for our room to be ready.

This hotel is available for booking on the Agoda website. Even for the both of us who are not spa lovers, we enjoyed our stay in this hotel because of its nice ambience - not crowded, well furnished, large and well tended grounds, and exquisite food.

Wifi (free and not always reliable) was only available in the lobby. Being a spa hotel, guests are allowed to go anywhere in the hotel dressed in the comfortable yukata trouser suit and slippers provided. It was quite surreal to be sitting at the hotel restaurant eating our exquisitely presented French dinner dressed this way but it was very comfortable indeed. Certainly a memorable stay for the 2 of us.

Hotel is located not too far away from the Furano JR station - cab fare was 3,000 plus yen. We took the express bus from Sapporo which took exactly 2 and a half hours and cost 2,260 yen. During our time in Furano, we used regular cabs for Farm Tomita and a sightseeing cab for a full day tour of Furano and Biei flower fields/farms/parks.
