I have a theory that some of the best locations are the most difficult to get to and La Gomera certainly backs that theory up as you cannot fly there from the UK. You have to fly to Tenerife and then take the ferry to La Gomera, either to San Sebastian and take the bus to Valle

Stayed here from 14th-21st December. You have to fly to Tenerife and then you get transferred to Los Cristianos to catch a ferry, this does involve a wait but there is a café there. Normal journey is 50 mins to capital but we got a catamaran to the resort which took two hours

The main restaurant is closed at lunch time. You would probably be better doing b and b as there are loads of places to eat in Gran Rey at lunch time
