We had a very pleasant stay here. A nice room overlooking the nearby beach. Lovely to hear the waves breaking on the shore. Plenty of plug sockets. Although self service, the dining food was generally good and dining was a relaxed experience overall. The choice of wine was good. Breakfast was served upstairs on the roof and it was hard...

The location of the hotel is perfect if you want to walk or just relax on this lovely island. The room we stayed in was clean, comfortable and spacious with a large sofa in a bay window, a little balcony and a roomy bathroom. The welcome when you arrive is warm and friendly and whatever you need, the staff are...

Located facing the sea at the end of a spectacular valley the hotel offers all one needs for either a relaxing beach break or an active walking holiday. The hotel seems to attract mainly German walkers and tour groups. Courteous attentive staff. All the rooms and common areas were spotless. Buffet breakfast on the roof area whilst buffet dinner served...

Our second visit to this Hotel. As before the reception staff could not have been more helpful and pleasant. Food plentiful with some of the restaurant staff remembering us from last visit, new faces there were just as pleasant and accommodating. Breakfast was great, lots of choice of cold and freshly cooked foods. Hotel very clean, never a speck of...

The hotel is set right across from a long sandy beach (black sand) on a quiet road but all amenities near by. The staff were excellent, especially the reception staff who seemed pleased to look after our every need. Room 201 was excellent having a large balcony with sunbeds and table and chairs, a wonderful place to watch the sun...

A very pleasant hotel, located right on the sea front with stunning views of the mountains to the rear. Food very pleasant with meals served both on the ground floor and the rooftop a la carte restaurant. Nice pool and sun deck on the roof of the hotel. Sea front rooms get the full heat of the afternoon sun, so...

Stayed at Hotel Gran Rey as part of a Canary Island touring holiday. Loved the hotel as well as La Gomera despite the "white knuckle" rides along the mountain roads, in a coach! The hotel is in a brilliant location, across the road from a sandy, black sand, beach. The staff were friendly and helpful even though they appeared to...

I stayed as a travel photographer and the hotel has a good location, big rooms and a great rooftop bar. Staff is very helpful and friendly. A/C worked but not effective at all though. Easy access to bus/taxi to the ferries in Los Cristianos.
