We loved the small town beach vibe in San Agustinillo. People are very friendly and helpful. Our room at Bambu was close to ideal. A spectacular setting at a reasonable cost. Access to kitchen and social area a plus. I love the international contingent, with so many countries and languages represented. As a vegetarian, I felt much more at home...

My wife and I stayed 3 days/nights at Bambu and loved every second of it. It's at the edge of the town, which means that it's farthest from any semblance of a crowd. The rooms are very simple/bare bones (which we prefer), and ours was super clean and opened up to an amazing view of the beach. The owner and...

Simple, affordable, beautiful. Nice soft clean sheets. Views of the sea from you pillow. And a fully equipped kitchen where you can prepare the fresh fish you can catch with the fisherman who give daily tours for little money. Bilingual owner-operated. Great for families and couples looking for a bit of tranquility by the sea.

Bambu was the best surprise we had in our vacations! The place amazing, de "cabañas" super nice and clean. Memo (the owner) is an incredible person, we felt at home, in family! we were supposed to stayed 1 night, we stayed 4 nights. Highly recommend this place if you like this kind of tourism (simple, different, low profile). Many thanks...

We a perfect stay at Bambu over New Years. The bungalows were clean, the views amazing, and everyone extremely helpful and friendly. While not high on frills, if you're high maintenance you're probably in the wrong part of the world. Can't wait to come back again for another peaceful, removing vacation. Thanks!!!!

We arrived in middle season (this area seems to be popular with Europeans during what is low season for Mexicans and other N. Americans) and got a great deal on an ocean-view cabana right on the beach. Our "family" is our 2 puppies, and we were glad to be allowed to stay here with them. We in turn made sure...

I stayed at Bambu with my husband and three children this summer and loved every minute. My husband and I had the most gorgeous accommodations in the place, the spacious main cabana upstairs with two queen sized beds, both with lovely netting to protect you from the (nonexistent when we were there, even in rainy season) mosquitos, hammocks and luxurious...

Bambu was highly reccommended to be by a friend, and it delivered on all fronts. Beautiful airy, clean rooms open to the ocean, well-maintained mosquito nets over the beds to keep bugs at bay, a great (and well shaded) sandy stretch out the front, well stocked with mattresses, hammocks and deck chairs, and a beachfront kitchen for meals at 'home'....

My husband and I stumbled upon Bambu late one night. The vibe of the locals and the manager Miguel made me want to stay. Not only was I blown away by the privacy of the rooms and the complete vacation feeling, but I had a kitchen to cook in. They had everything, a fridge, stove, pots and pans, blender, forks...

We stayed for five nights and had the best time in San Augistinillo and Bambu. Bambu is a very chill and laid back place, just like its owner. We had a look at all of the Bambu cabanas houses, all were of good quality, large, either with one or two double beds and spacious bathrooms. Cabanas are clean and built...
