Four days of (mostly) bliss at Cerro Largo! Excellent meals, and attentively offered. Staff warm and accommodating. Lots of steps (and often uneven heights, so a bit tricky) to and from the beach if you are in one of the higher up rooms/cabanas. If you are lower, then more steps to dining. But, all in fun, right? The steps are...

I enjoyed staying at Mario's Rancho. Very low key, beautiful view, great breakfast, nice walk to the town, and great services. It is true the mosquitoes were a nuisance and there is no running water in the rooms - for me they were not deal breakers. 2 hour massage for $700 was a great value and a real treat.

This is your chance to stay in an open cabana and experience the sights and sounds of the Pacific Ocean. Each hut is perched on secluded terraces with ocean views and you sleep with the constant sounds of the waves breaking. It is like an easy from of camping on the beach. The place has no TV or wifi and...

I'm a long time writing this review from a stay back in February. We have traveled around in Mexico for years without ever going to a beach. This time we decided we'd bop down to the Oaxaca beach. A friend had raved the rancho years ago, and we were not disappointed. Loved every second of our 4 nights there. We...

we returned to Rancho Cerro Largo for the second time and loved it even more than the year before. The atmosphere is magic, the view awesome, the yoga classes excellent. The open cabanas take a little to get adjusted to but then we loved it. There are some mosquitos at night but we slept well under the mosquito net We...

This is a place to relax. Lots of love in many details. Many plants. Terraces. Different views on the ocean. Extremely nice staff. Great vegetarian food (breakfast and dinner included in the price). Good yoga sessions in the morning in a big yoga room, listening to the waves of the ocean. Some cabanas have open walls, which feels very good....

I tried very hard to like this place. The setting has lovely views of the beach and the ocean and is secluded. Dinner was in a beautiful setting with views of the setting sun. BUT, after the first 24 hours, the charm of the composting toilet is gone and I am tired of showering and shampooing by dipping a pint-sized...

I stayed at Mario's eco lodge with Natural Habitat Turtle Adventure. The view was outstanding. I lucked out with the humidity for the first 2 days because of a hurricane off the coast. Thank goodness!! After the wind died down, the humidity, the humidity. The staff was wonderful and the food was good. I am not a cooked vegetable person,...

These eco-cabins are very special! No running water but who would want it -too hot out- when you can use a coconut shell full of water from a tub to shower. Delicious vegetarian breakfasts and dinners included, dont miss their homemade bread and granola. Mario is a great yoga teacher and offers yoga classes in the morning at extra charge....
