Stayed 1 night in May 17 with friends visiting from the USA. Very nice location and warm welcome on arrival. Dinner and breakfast all goo. Lovely view from room on the second floor overlooking the river. Would return if staying in the area.

Visited the Lochnell for 5 nights in May 2017, with my wife. The welcome we received was top drawer and this continued throughout our stay. The hotel has 10 letting rooms, two of which overlook Loch Etive, hence the title of the review. You have to climb 2 flights of stairs to get to the room but the view was...

Tripple room with good views over the river and well away from the bar. The room was clean and tidy and well looked after. Tea and coffee making facilities were provided along with a Freeview TV. Ensuite bathroom had a good electric shower and nice fluffy towels. Toilet flush was a bit temperamental and occasionally the cistern would fill continuously...

We stayed in this hotel for three nights and it exceeded expectations in many areas. Firstly the hard working couple who own it could not be more welcoming. They and their staff always had a big smile and made us feel welcome from start to finish. The dining room is a conservatory and patio with views over Loch Etive, the...

I could not fault the cleanliness of this place or the lovely evening meal that we had or indeed the wonderful view, however I can say that I found the rooms to be slightly dated in appearance with regards to faded pictures, non matching and stained furniture and tired wallpaper also the TV was the size of a matchbox which...

The welcoming atmosphere continued though our stay. The restaurant was great and we enjoyed our Seniors meal. There was a spectacular sunset and it was lovely to walk along the 'beach' to capture it. Our sleep was disturbed by a noisy motor running which was a shame as otherwise it was a comfortable place.

Went yesterday for lunch,we were informed we could only have the carvery on Sunday's. Had we not walked five miles we would have left, however we were hungry and thirsty so I have the...

Lovely landlord and landlady made us very welcome when we were visiting Oban for a wedding. The pub is a traditional old fashioned one, with a cosy feel and good food. The rooms are comfortable, and we had a lovely view of the loch. Would go again.

That was such a wonderful stay, we loved the view from our little balcony and Ruut and Susan have been wonderful hosts. The food in the restaurant was excellent. I ordered a special birthday cake and it really was wonderful. Thank you so much. Hope to come back.

Great hotel! Awesome location to explore Oban and the Hebrides. Some of the rooms have a great view of the Falls of Lora and I even saw a seal during one of my many stays! The rooms are clean and very cosy and the staff is lovely. The breakfast is also nice with a wonderful view. Would definitely return again!
