Stopped by two evenings for dinner with our son, his wife and their 1 year-old. Excellent meal, and kind and attentive staff. While the wee lad was not a problem, the staff nevertheless are great and chatted to him while he stared at them to get their attention back! This has been a great stop for many years and it...

Beautiful hotel very well maintained inside and out. Friendly staff very good food. Stunning scenery overlooking Loch Etive . Quiet location only 5 miles from Oban. Several special rooms with 4 poster beds and balconies available. Breakfast served by waitress chosen from menu rather than buffet help yourself. Cannot fault it in any way. Definitely going back.

We stayed in the very superior room, room 35, the only one with the balcony at the front, overlooking the water. Everything & everyone was great; the room was romantic, spacious & has the most gorgeous view, the dinner in the bistro was very good, we both had seafood, then relaxed in the lounge with a night cap from the...

I found this hotel by chance about 25 years ago and return every few years. The hotel has a main older building and a more modern annexe. Staying here is like stepping back in time, with the occasional run in with the 21st century - but it works. Originally run by two sisters (at least one of them (Miss Innes)...

Well, this hotel was clean and there was no peeling wallpaper or paint.. but for the price we paid, I think they needed to be much, much more set up to be helpful and provide information. Their standard response to any query about trips in the local area was that guests should visit the tourist information office in Oban. No...

Stayed here on many occasions. Yes, it is old fashioned and quite quirky but a good place to stay whilst visiting surrounding areas. Here at present and the food is fine and lovely wood burning fire within the restaurant. Have got superior room in green which has Jacuzzi bath. Overlooking rear of the building. Would have liked sea view, but...

The friendly, helpful staff made our stay at this quaint, if a little old-fashioned hotel, a very enjoyable one. Although the large, very comfortable room could do with a bit of updating, we were told by a member of staff that this is an ongoing project. Breakfast was excellent, with everything from the extensive menu being served - no buffet...

I stayed here for one night with my husband and two children aged 2 and 9. The staff were fantastic and very friendly. I would like to especially thank the manager who went out his way to help us. Sarah on reception was very friendly too. The room was lovely and we all had a great sleep. The breakfast was...

I stayed one night in this hotel, and was quietly impressed. First off, they actually had a hotel register, something I haven't seen for years! Second, the receptionist was extremely helpful, and was also very efficient at her job. The rooms weren't fantastic, a bit dated, but the stay was extremely reasonable and almost half the price of Oban, just...

Went here for dinner in their bistro style restaurant. First impressions is that it's a very old fashioned place, lots of brass, heavily patterned carpets etc..... However I think it achieves what it sets out to be, homely warm atmosphere with unpretentious but great value food. The staff were all very friendly and efficient. Having been touring for the previous...
