We stayed two nights at Mactalla, bedroom was clean and comfortable, Lloyd was very helpful and the breakfast was lovely with a fresh cooked fry, Views from the dining and living room amazing especially if sun is shinning, Would definitely stay again if in the area, very convenient to Oban

first - my only regret here is not staying for more than one night. The highlight of this B&B is no doubt he host - Lloyd and Ruth. The ease of communicating with them during the booking phase already said something about them - they are easy to deal with. They also did not require me to pay any deposit... More

We needed an extra night in the locality to use the rebooked ferries to Mull and Iona that had been cancelled because of bad weather. Accommodation in Oban was seething and we spotted Mactalla as we drove north. What a joy! Room 1 ensuite was a large room with seating area, lovely fresh decoration and shower room and comfy bed.... Spent one night in a twin room with shared shower and toilet facilities. Bedroom was clean and roomy. Breakfast was very enjoyable and we were lucky to have a table at the front window, what a relaxing view over a fully cooked with coffee! Lloyd is a lovely host and I would recommend a visit to Mactalla

Very nice location and an incredible view from the living room, which in itself it's a pleasant surprise with its decoration and welcoming environment. Lloyd is a very kind and pleasant host, trying to pamper his guests with home cooked food and attention. Highly recommended.

We stayed one night at Mactalla on our way to the Isle of Mull. The house is lovely, right on the bay and you can see the Falls of Lora pouring into the bay. Our host Lloyd was fantastic, very polite and humorous and he certainly knows how to make a good pot of coffee. The rooms were spotless as... More

We recently stayed here for one night. It's a pretty house in a great, quiet area, despite being by a busy road. The view from the front yard is beautiful. The owner was very, very nice and helped us with info about the area and gave us a wonderful restaurant recommendation. The beds were comfortable and there were several bathrooms.... More

Neat and clean silent little place perfect for a couple actually. Good parking good view good room and wifi available. We paid 70 quid for it including breakfast and it seems like a good place to stay in if u r in this side of Scotland. Good location right opposite the lake and close to the bridge.

We stayed two nights in this lovely B&B. The building itself is very charming. A bit old-fashioned in a classy way. The bedrooms are roomy and clean, with comfortable beds. Breakfast was really good, the view on the bay made it extra nice. What made this B&B extra special: There's a beautiful common room with comfortable sofas, lots of books... More
