The chateau is in a remote and beautiful location. A perfect spot for a weekend escape or to visit Mount St. Michelle which was my case. You are staying in a small historic palace along with all the perks that comes with that: impressive gardens, huge high ceiling rooms with extraordinary views. If you are not prepared, you can borrow flip flops to relax at the pool. Service is unique; the family who owns the property is super attentive and helpful. Breakfast is superb. Quite comfortable bed, with a relaxing tub in the bathroom. It might even worth a visit just for the “garden tour” if you drive nearby. Special mention to Rhea and Pandore, the two dogs who live at the chateau 😊 > beautiful and playful.

We spent a wonderful time in this very clean, remote and unique castle. The castle does not look dusty at all, which is often the case with other castle. The heated and large pool in the garden is beautifully located. We spent a relaxing time in this wonderful place.

We absolutely loved Chateau Ballue. The chateau, gardens, and pool were all gorgeous and the staff were very friendly. It was the perfect location to visit Mount St Michelle from as it was only about a 3O min drive. Would love to go back one day.

We just got back from Chateau de la Ballue. It was just amazing. The best breakfast I have ever had. We stayed for a couple of days while visiting Normandy. Our stay was like being transported back in time. From walking through the gardens to hanging out in the bar terrace. It was soooooooo cool. I would absolutely recommend staying there if you have a chance.

We stayed for two nights, and it was very good: comfortable beds, friendly people, but most of all: very tasteful and authentic design. Not superficial. Feels as if time stood still. Gorgeous breakfast. No lunch, nor a restaurant. Just drive 20 minutes down the road in the beautiful landscape and you'll find a simple 'repas'. Impressive gardens.
