We stop by chance to this amazing place, amazing because of the location on the top of a hill overviewing whole Auvergne with breathless view, because of the castle which is perfectly preserved, because of the comfort of facility, and because of the amazing history associated to this place ... You will spend time with La Fayette or more exactly...

Wonderful chateau and an elegant and informative family who live there. Our yellow suite had two bathrooms which was wonderful, and sparkling water and delicious nibbles awaited us on a tray in our room our return each day. This chateau has a great history with the USA, as the marquis general La Fayette came from there to support the US...

We spent 5 nights over Easter in the Chambre Jaune - which was HUGE - in a fantastic chateau perched on the eastern side of the valley with spectacular views and charming hosts, Michel and Genevieve. A great location for visiting the Auvergne region of France

Emilie, I think it was called. It was really nice and cozy. Everyday there were snacks provided with sparkling water in the room. Breakfast was...

The hosts, in fact, are themselves descendants of LaFayette and have an entire room devoted to the General, a room that houses both centuries-old artifacts and antiques from Lafayette's home. The château is located a little off the beaten path, but it made a great...

We only found this lovely b&b at the last moment. A spectacular position, wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. Well maintained family home with 4 bedrooms available. Room extremely comfortable up two flights of a circular stone staircase - good big bed, good bathroom with fluffy towels and robes. AND a good hairdrier! Hosts very welcoming offering use of the...

The historical Château, the original antique furnished rooms, the wonderful gardens and the history of the Marquis de Lafayette family was what motivated my husband and I to visit and stay at Château de Vollore, Auvergne, France for a few days in June 2011. We visited the environs and ate and drank the local cheeses and wines and were amazed...
