I don't think I really want to give a positive review on this wonderful retreat. I will probably ruin my chances of ever being able to book a room again. This was by far the nicest and most comfortable B&B accommodation we have ever stayed in - we felt so at home. The room (Scots Pine)was very large and beautiful,...

I found The Haven through TripAdvisor, looked at the website, wanting to stay in a few days time. I noticed it still gave prices for 2015, so rang up. No answer, so I left a message. Didn't hear back. Rang again, this time the owner answered. He explained he didn't have room but also didn't have time to let people...

I don't expect everyone to understand how busy people get whilst running a small business. Ian apologised to you and explained why he hadn't rang you back the next day, although he didn't explain that he was waiting for the last room to be a confirmed booking. We thought reviews were for our accommodation and hospitality, and not for people...

We have just spent four nights at The Haven. The room was comfortable and all of the rooms are clean, with lovely bedlinen and furnishings. Ian's breakfasts are superb and set us up for the day - such a choice. There is a large lounge for guests. All around are the most beautiful views and it is so quiet. Rothbury...

My family and I had a lovely stay at the Haven over a long weekend. We were given a friendly welcome with a pot of tea and cake on arrival, and were well looked after for the rest of our stay. The room was very clean, the breakfasts are great (excellent selection and well cooked), and the hosts could not...

Staying here for a long weekend over Easter. We arrived yesterday and were given tea and cake on arrival in the lounge. Our room is the suite which has a separate bedroom and living area with a small kitchen-like section. The room is lovely, clean and fresh. We were told they had just decorated very recently and it looks great....

We had a warm greeting from Ian on arrival. He showed us to our room which was spotlessly clean with high quality furnishings. We took up his kind offer of a pot of freshly brewed Ringtons coffee and a delicious slice of cake. The property stands in a commanding position looking over Rothbury, we were very fortunate to be staying...

Our room was very comfortable and immaculately clean with lovely little extras (hand made chocolate by Roz, sweets, cotton buds etc and nice toiletries). Best breakfast we have had bar none! excellent choice of cereals including home made granola...
