I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. The room was nice but really really cold and the staff said nothing could be done about it. It was impossible to turn on the heating at the end of October. The food was not great either....More
This was a very good quality, modern hotel, with good facilities and very helpful staff. The main thing for us was it's affordability for a a week's stay, compared to a hotel in central Barcelona. Plus, as Martorell is on two different rail lines into...More

We took this hotel outside Barcelona, and stayed for another day.

We stayed in Martorell for a week and used the trains almost every day. The FGC R5 line does use Martorell Central Railway Station and goes on to Montserrat. I only went as far as the stop prior to the one you will need for the monastery but it's a modern train and it sounds like the link to the transport up the mountain is straight forward. I'm not aware that the hotel puts on any special transport but the Martorell Central Station is only five minutes walk, downhill from the hotel. Trains are reasonably frequent. I was also very happy with the hotel itself.
Actually, there are two train companies using that station, and that made it straightforward to get into Barcelona too. I bought two consecutive 10 journey tickets, over the three zones to get into Barcelona. And, for variation, went in the opposite direction too. You could try emailing the hotel to see if they do put on anything specific for the monastery.
Hope that helps,
