Nice 3 level apartment, over looking the coast staff are friendly and helpful. The pool and terrace area relaxing, with good food on offer beers and cocktails happy hour 3 til 5. 25% off. Locally walking down to bars and restaurants is fine, "cardiac Hill " well named back to base camp. Taxi is well worth it at €3.50euros there's also the magic key for the short cut.

Hi there, It’s great to receive such positive feedback. Thanks for taking the time to share! 🌞 It's wonderful to hear that you enjoyed the best view from our 3 level apartment and that our staff made a good impression with their friendliness and helpfulness. We're delighted that you found relaxation at our pool and terrace area, and that our happy hour added some extra cheer to your stay. It's great that the local area provided convenient access to bars and restaurants, even if the return trip up 'cardiac hill' was a bit challenging – a good tip about the taxi! We appreciate your mention of the 'magic key' shortcut, which we're sure future guests will find handy. We all hope to see you again on your next visit. Take care, Ona Las Rosas

We stayed in a 2 bedroom Villa and loved the very spacious accommodation which was very well equipped and spotlessly clean. We had a terrace front and back which meant we could enjoy sunshine all day, both were big enough for sunbeds (supplied) and dining. Pool area is quiet and a real sun trap and drinks can be bought from on-site shop. What stood out was the relaxed, very friendly atmosphere and great service. We’ve stayed in a number of Puerto Santiago apart hotels and Las Rosas is by far the best. We’re already planning our next stay there.

I returned to Las Rosas this year after many wonderful holidays there in the past but the resort has changed beyond all recognition. It is no longer the peaceful, family orientated complex that welcomes back guests year after year but now resembles a raucous 3* hotel rather than an RCI Gold Crown timeshare resort…. Yep, it’s a timeshare resort. There was ongoing maintenance work throughout our stay - ladders blocked walkways and the sound of power tools could be heard daily. Our villa wasn’t sparking as it usually does on our arrival and our balcony was filthy. It stayed that way because for the first time ever, it wasn’t cleaned regularly during our stay. The wall was in fact, cracked and crumbling. There were neither enough sun beds, nor towels. In the past reception always changed our pool towels on request but this year they simply didn’t have enough. Non residents appeared daily with resort towels somehow (hence the shortage maybe),so the secure feeling around the pool vanished. There is currently no restaurant or bar as advertised due to an ongoing legal issue regarding the previous licensee. Short term guests had no respect for the property or long term visitors- villas exceeded their capacity and sun loungers were reserved for hours with no action taken. On a positive note… the girls in the shop are doing an awesome job and the reception staff kept smiling through a barrage of complaints. Why, oh why are changes being made to a resort that was once perfect???

We booked a 2 bed villa and were given Villa 65, a very worn, run down villa. The lounge and kitchen were upstairs with the 2 bedrooms downstairs. The villa is decorated in 1970's woodchip in the (unsuccessful) attempt to disguise the poor condition of the walls and ceilings. As soon as we started down the dark and dingy stairs we were hit with a horrible damp, mouldy smell. This got progressively worse as we got closer to the second bedroom. Once entering it was clear that there had been a serious leak with a very large damp patch on the ceiling. This bedroom was unusable and a health risk. Because of the strong smell throughout we did not want to unpack in case all our clothes smelled mouldy for the remainder of our holiday. There were mould spots on the net curtains in the master bedroom. We spoke to the maintenance man who confessed that the leak was ongoing and they were having problems identifying where exactly it was coming from. It is scandalous that this villa was rented out in such a poor condition. I asked to speak to the Manager but was told he was unavailable due to a family bereavement and it was unclear when he would return. There was no option to to move to another villa as the resort was fully booked. The kitchen was infested with ants and small flies which seem to come up through the plug holes in the kitchen and bathrooms. The kitchen was tiny and kitchen utensils old and worn and completely inadequate for cooking. The upstairs balcony only got limited sun from around 2.30pm to 4.30pm and only at the bottom edge. There is little privacy from the neighbours. The view was quite good though. The resort has lots of stairs and steep slopes. No apology or compensation was offered. All in all, absolutely dreadful. Thankfully we had only booked for 4 nights before we moved to much better accommodation. Avoid at all costs.

Hello! Thanks for your review. We are very sorry to hear that you did not have the best experience with us. We are very sorry for what happened during your stay. Prior to your stay, repairs were made due to humidity that appeared in the apartment, and after applying the protocol, the villa was suitable for occupancy. During the stay, there was no type of incident on your part, and it was not until departure that you told us about the smell of humidity. If you had informed us at the time of your entry, we could have changed your villa or found a solution to what happened. We apologize for what happened and we hope you will give us a second one in the future. Greetings!

The Villa (44) was beautiful, fabulous terraces both front & back so we could enjoy the sun and sea views as much as we wanted, no traffic noise just sun & sea - stunning cliff views too. Covid very aware & clean and the staff very helpful and so friendly. Lovely pool with plenty of sun beds. There’s a shop on site plus a Lidl nearby. Plenty of nice bars and restaurants within walking distance, nearest right outside the resort. We walked to restaurants and used the local buses as you can pay cash, to come back up hills. The post office is the main pick up drop off stop which is right nearby Las Rosas. A huge thank you to Javier and Sarah on reception for organising trips, taxis, printing locator forms etc. Wi-Fi great, washing machine a real bonus. Gardens beautiful. Returning in September.

Very spacious and very practical apartment with all comforts (soaps coffee liquid tea dishes towels for the pool provided. (too bad the neighbors do not know the principle of closing a door without slamming it especially at late hours). Another amazing couple of weeks here in tenerife. Restaurant was closed for renovation and only opened under new management on my last night. Food was excellent, with 3 separate entertainment acts. Accommodation was excellent and new bathroom had been put in with a great walk in shower. Pool was as always great with kids only allowed to have blow up toys in at certain times. Great relaxing holiday.

Hello Carol! Thank you for this great review. It's fantastic to hear that you enjoyed the new bathroom and the walk-in shower - nothing beats a refreshing start to the day. And we're thrilled that our pool rules helped keep the relaxation levels high, just floating your cares away! Although the restaurant's renovation timing was less than ideal, it seems like we nailed it with the food and entertainment on your last night. Sorry to hear about any inconvenience this may have caused during your stay. We look forward to seeing you again on your next visit. Best wishes, Ona Las Rosas

We stayed here for just 2 nights when we decided to extend our holiday. The staff here are great and really helpful, including the bar staff by the pool. The apartments are massive and really nice with great balconies and everything you need. The only issues we had was that the rules of the pool were only followed when the life guard saw fit. Our son was told not to dive into the pool, then not to bomb into the pool. Fair enough, we didn’t read the sign. When we did read the sign it also said saving sun beds was forbidden. Yet almost every sun bed was saved when we got there? Maybe the life guard is only brave enough to act when 8 year old kids are involved and too scared to enforce rules on adults? Either enforce all the rules or none. The other slight issue was with British guests. I’m from England myself but I can’t stand brits who after a few beers get loud and the swearing increases. One “lady” came over talking about her husband being in the George pub and she was going to f****** smother him with a pillow when she got back to the room. Classy. I think the notice about unruly children should also cover unruly, obnoxious, drunken adults.

I've visited Las Rosas for winter holidays for a number of years now and absolutely loved it. The staff are amazing, can't do enough for you and the place is immaculate. Apartments are great, they've been refurbished in recent years and very spacious. Can't fault them. Brilliant location as you can walk down into Los Gigantes town or enjoy the bars and restaurants around Santiago del Teide.
Managed to visit at the beginning of December 2020 and they were extremely Covid conscious. Witnessed apartments being fully fumigated in readiness for arrivals, and very stringent measures in place around the pool and complex to ensure the safety of everyone. We felt very safe.
Looking forward to visiting this year (fingers crossed) and receiving a warm welcome from Javier, who is a massive credit to Wimpen!

It's all open. They have a system to book sun loungers but we stayed 10 days in July and there were lots available. The food at the pool bar is very good. You wil have a fantastic time.

Las Rosas is built on volcanic rock and as it was the 70's not much thought went into disability awareness, the majority are on two levels and quite a few do have stairs. The best thing is to e-mail an ask them which if any are wheelchair friendly.

The welcome party has information on the most popular places, plus if you have something particular (like walking) ask at reception plus there are loads of leaflets there too. Reception will usually book for you.
