A local guy decided to put a resort into his home town of Kabale, heretofore deservedly off the map, and succeeded. Bunyonyi Overland has a beautiful setting, extensive facilities, and the entire lake for its frontage. Be sure to grab one of the resort's one-man canoes and take a paddle. This being Africa, essentials first: working roof √, electricity -... More

Something has changed in bunyonyi overland! I read on tripadvisor about bad service, but we experience only nice and friendly staf who worked hard to make your stay great. George, the receptionist, is very helpfull. He gave us a upgraded room (because we were with three and the regular cottages are just to small to fit an extra bed) and... More

I travelled here with Acacia Tours and stayed for 4 nights in our own tents. It was such an incredible view to wake up to every morning and a very accommodating camp site. Showers were a bit on the cooler side but if you've experienced Uganda before you'll know this is normal. There were plenty of local activities to enjoy... More

This is an average resort localised on the lake shore and offer beautifull views. The family cottage we had was a bit outdated but the biggest problem was that our cushion had a really bad small of the lake/humidity. We ordered pizza in the restaurant to be on the safe side but we received something I had never seen in... More

I visited Bunyonyi overland resort in June. Its a really nice place with incredible scenery. Its a good place for relaxing if you looking for a peaceful and quiet place. Lake Bunyonyi is the deepest lake in Uganda. You can do swimming, canoeing, camping. You can pitch your tent here..The meals are okay. Its a secure location with amazing views.

This is a nice hotel, it definitely has a beautiful view! I stayed in one of the cottages, it was clean and the bed was comfortable. I had an issue with the toilet twice (the connection for the flush kept detaching) and had a big issue with the shower zapping me whenever I touched the metal part of the tap... More

I camped here for three nights as part of a G Adventures tour. The location is perfect, right next to Lake bunyoni on a quiet part of the lake which is perfect for a swim. The campsite was grassy which meant no mud or sand in the tents. The showers were basic and didn't always have hot water depending on... More

We only came here to go swimming, canoeing, and grab some lunch. So while I can't speak to the quality of the rooms, we had a great time just for a daytime visit. There is a dock you can lounge on and jump into the lake from, and you can hire a guide to take you in a traditional wooden... More

We had a really lovely stay at the Overland Resort. We stayed in the family cottage which was reasonably priced, clean and very spacious, with a private kitchen, living room and bathroom. We had a few problems with electricity and hot water during our stay but these were rectified fairly promptly. The resort is located just on the shore of... More
