What a View! This lodge is high on a mountain overlooking the spectacular Meat Cove. Hector Hines was a delight to meet. He provided us with kindling and firewood for his fire pit. The lodge slept eight of us. There is a full kitchen and living room. The lodge has two bathrooms as well as WIFI and TV. Meat Cove...

We had heard good things about meat cove so we decided to add a night there. We found Hines Ocean View lodge on tripadvisor. Superb view, very clean and neat house, comfortable bright rooms, beautiful double deck, full kitchen facilities, two bathrooms (one shower with awesome water temperature and pressure). Hector came by in the eve, lit a fire for...

My boyfriend and I stayed here 2 nights a couple years ago. The first night was amazing and restful, we had the lodge to ourselves. It was quiet, clean, had everything we needed and a priceless view! Unfortunately, the second night was hell. I am not telling this story to devalue this place because it really is something unique and...

Top of the mountain! Stayed only one night, and we were the only people there. Rooms were clean and freshly painted. The shared kitchen had everything we needed. The owners are extremely helpful!! They have done a lot of renovation, and have more planned. We made a fire and got some of our best photos from their front picnic table....

A decent spot to spend a night - very chilled out. You can basically just walk in and have a look around, and if you like it, throw your bag in the room and it's yours. Bring your own cutlery and crockery as it's not super well equipped. The managers come around in the evening to see who is staying...

We took a trip around the Cabot Trail - based on a suggestion we had to include Meat Cove. When looking for accommodation I came across this place. Location - and the end of the earth. Ok not really, but feels like it. The view from the deck is spectacular. If you were any closer to the cliffs you would...

The view is stupendous. The dirt road..no problem. The rooms clean and bright. The kitchen well stocked (they supply coffee milk, coffee, tea, and margerine). The Internet works.I was given a brand new duvet and Harold dropped by to say hi. There is an open door and phone numbers to call when you get here. I am super early in...

We loved this place. The views were amazing! The owner is very nice and with extended stays offers a reduced rate. We stayed for eight nights. The owner actually looks out for you as well. My wife and I decided to go for a hike. When we hadn't returned by night, the owner took his 4 wheeler out on the...

Thank you Harold, we had an amazing time at Hines Ocean View Lodge. The eight of us were quite comfortable in the modest home. We drove the quick minute drive to the bottom for the sunset which was stunning and had the most fabulous cliff-side bomb-fire in the evening. The kitchen could be stocked better as it has only 2...
