We booked Misty Mountain to break the journey between Sun City and Mopani Camp in Kruger Park. It has the typical feel of many older family run hotels in this area and the Drakensberg. Perhaps a bit dated and basic but it is a reasonable option for a one night stopover. There is a pool and table tennis room which...

The gleaming pool overlooking the mountains advertised in the magazines and on various sites was in fact a brownish, green colour... I had mentioned that I would be arriving earlier (we arrived at 11AM) as that option was given when booking, but we waited for over 3 hours for our room. Very often there was no one at reception... One...

Misty mountain is a romantic hideaway with beautiful views and it's just so peaceful.. If you're looking for an escape then this is for you.. The accommodation is very basic (needs a little bit of maintenance), but what a great weekend breakaway..

Greeted by staff with a refreshing drink, room was ready & was clean with good facilities. The room offered a fridge, microwave & enough to look after a meal in your room if that is your wish. Shower was good & the view from our room was very nice. Dinner was good as was breakfast. A games room is also...

My family and i only stayed for 1 night but it was well worth it! Good value for money, the food is delicious and homey! The toboggan is well worth the trip and fun for the whole family. The staff are a breath of fresh air to deal with and super helpful when or if needed. This is a lovely...

We went with a large group of people for the weekend. The rooms are clean and with a fire place. Fridge and the basics should you wish self cater. The food in the restaurant was tasty and well presented. The hotel is centrally situated for exploring this area with lots to keep a family occupied. We will certainly go back.

Me and my wife stayed at Misty Mountain for a couple of days back in December'16. The location itself is something amazing! The room we stayed in had a wonderful view of the plantations, with a sunrise each morning to admire! The breakfast was amazing, served outside on the deck with a beautiful view and just a total relaxed feeling.

A lovely place to stay with family. Staff were friendly and food was excellent. As the name suggests though it can be extremely misty. The farm style cottages are a welcome difference. The views from the restaurant area are breathtaking. The location is within many tourist attractions.

What a beautiful place! I booked the farm house for our family for four day break-away. Spotlessly clean, massive rooms, massive kitchen, comfortable lounge with a nice fire place. Absolutely loved the view from the main bar/restaurant area with the infinity pool. The only thing I can fault, is that the kitchen stuff now need replacement and maybe fans and...
