We’ve been one night in Sabie Town House. The owner Greg is a kind and helpful guy. He can give you some good advices about Sabie and the surroundings. The property is neat and very nice designed. The House has lovely old furnishings. Our room was clean and specious but not special. The Breakfast was very tasty and substantial. I’d...

After very many visits to Sabie, this was my first time to take a group to Sabie Townhouse. It is a typical old colonial home. The rooms were very comfy, the grounds very pleasurable and Greg, the owner, cooked a magic breakfast to order. We came because my normal b&b was unavailable because the owners themselves were on holiday back...

Dear Ken. Thank you very much for your kind words. it was a pleasure having you and your group staying with us and a pity you are retiring from tour guiding. Thank you for using our establishment and Im sorry that I missed saying goodbye to you on your last morning as I was hard at work in the kitchen....

A great place to explore the panorama route. Quaint and quirky with a superb breakfast made to order and useful information and suggestions about the local area from Greg. Ideal for singles to a family. Sabie itself is worth a couple of days.

We were warmly greeted by the owner who gave us a nice tour of the main house and outdoor area. Unfortunately the weather didn't allow us to use the outdoor areas and hindered the views. We stayed in the Buffalo Room, adjacent to the main house. It was a nice, if somewhat outdated, large suite with sitting area and comfortable...

We stayed there such a short time, what's a pity! All was absolutely perfect! We had beautiful room. Extremally clean and big. I do not know who said that it is a little oldish. House itself is great! Stony with a soul. Family who run the b&b business is helpful and friendly. I regres that we did not spend there...

After reading previous reviews we decided to book this place for one night while travelling South Africa. We had been told we were booked for the Hippo Room but were given the Buffalo Room instead. The room was spacious but tired looking. The sink tap was loose and kept spinning around when trying to turn it on or off. The...

Dear Bernard. Thank you for your constructive feedback. I apologise about your under cooked poached egg - these can be a little tricky to get right sometimes. Please do let the chef know in future that you are dissatisfied and im certain they will cook another egg for you as I would have happily done had you mentioned this. The...

We decided to spend our last day before heading home in Sabie. We had just finished a week in Kruger and looked for a lodge just to relax and soak up the sun. Couldn't have chosen a better place...quite mis-leading from the front as it's a large place with a stunning pool and bar area. The rooms are all decorated...

Very comfortable and extremely friendly and helpful staff. Owner and son are great and the breakfast was amazing. The room was nice and the rest of the house was really cool with a pool, deck and outdoor bar. Only regret is not being able to stay longer. Simply amazing. I would go back for sure.

We stayed for one night in the Elephant Room, which was downstairs from the main area. Huge area with kitchenette should we have wanted, sitting area and bedroom. The bedroom was also large, but unfortunately the bed was only Queen size and we struggled a bit. However this is the only negative point I could find. The bar area (honesty...

We enjoyed the Zebra room which was a real treat, sherry in the room and a jacuzzi on our private terrace. Breakfasts were great, and if the weather had been warmer I'm sure we'd have enjoyed the pool too. Sabie Townhouse has a lovely relaxed feel to it. Wonderful.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Greg and Family offer guests a warm personal welcome to our lovely, distinctive home, constructed of river stone and local timber, peacefully situated overlooking the stunning natural beauty of the Sabie Gorge. Without exception, the many guests who have stayed with us comment on the uniqueness of our home and that photographs just do not do it justice. From the verandah you can catch a glimpse of the hyrax enjoying the early morning sunshine, watch our resident sunbirds sipping nectar from strelitzia and hibiscus flowers, hear the occasional fish eagle calling and we have even been lucky enough to have a hippo wander by! Or you may like to take a short stroll across open bushveld to sit on the rocks and admire the gorge and river below. The emphasis of our spacious rooms is to offer guests comfort and a place to relax and feel at home. All have a separate private entrance and the majority overlook the lush gardens. Children are welcome, so we have family suites available and we are the only wheel chair friendly guesthouse in Sabie. Sumptuous breakfasts are served either in the dining room or on the verandah overlooking the swimming pool. We offer warm and friendly hospitality. ... more   less
