We were spending one night at this hotel this November. It's a charming small hotel, nicely conserved building with lovely rooms and fair prices. Parking is excellent, the environment in the rather small but very attractive village is an ideal escape from major touristic attractions of the region. Distance to Colmar makes it a good alternative to hotels in Colmar....

The hotel and staff were excellent, for this short family break. The staff were helpful and sorted a kettle, plates and cups. The room offered a relaxing evening catching up from a busy exploring day. We are intending to return to explore the local region further

We were delighted to discover l'Abbey d'Alspach. It is ideally located in the tiny town of Kietzheim -a tranquil, beautiful village , surrounded by gorgeous green vineyards. A movie set - decorated with flower boxes, fountains, a tiny stream, enclosed by an ancient stone wall. The hotel is well run, rooms are clean, well decorated and surpassed our expectations of...

Along with my family we have been coming to this hotel for over 40 years. It never fails to exceed our expectations. This year however we stayed in the Gite ( apartment) for two weeks. It was simply wonderful and allowed us to spread out, sleep late and prepare most of our own meals. The Gite actually sleeps six comfortably...

Perfect hotel in the perfect village. Room had a view of the vineyards. Excellent breakfast. Rooms very well appointed and comfortable. The two-level suite was like having an apartment. Very reasonable pricing.

A convert 12th century convent this hotel has tons of charm. The town is charming and quite delightful even though it is tiny. The staff is very nice and helpful, but the rooms are very basic with no elevator and no air conditioning. The church a block away rings it's bell on the hour all night. 3 Nights of little...

Very nice and quiet place. The staff is anxious to satisfy your needs. This place seems to be full of history. Very well known judging by the the different countries the patrons came from. I recommend this place as it is very central to visit the surroundings.

Everyone seems to gravitate to Riquewihr and Ribeauville, but the quiet, charming town of Kientzheim has a couple of very nice hotels. L'Abbaye d'Alspach, whose beginnings are from the 11th Century, was a great value for the price! Modern, very comfortable rooms; and when you step outside, you're transported back to medieval times! It's tower is the centerpiece, but there...

Sorry we only stayed one night. Tiny town with tons of charm. The hotel was easy to find, free parking in the rear of the property, next to a small garden with outside seating, which we used in the early evening to enjoy our new local wine purchase(literally across the street). The room had a small balcony over looking the...

We stayed at this beautiful hotel situated in an old abbey in the little village of Kientzheim in Alsace. The hotel and the village are both charming and pleasantly off the tourist track through this area at Xmas, visiting Marches de Noel. The hotel was beautifully welcoming with lovely Xmas decorations, warm fires and plenty of vin chaud and pain...
