I travel in France for many years now and around 50-60 nights in hotels in France. This hotel is one of the best ever. It is in my top 3. A fantastic room with an amazing view. So great. A 10 for me! Nice colors, nice people, very polite, good restaurant with nice wines. Go there.

We have been visiting Monetier for over a decade and are thrilled to have this new venue. It’s ideal for short stays and scenic drinks/ meals. Walk everywhere in town, to the skies and the thermal baths. Absolutely delicious food, a mix of local and international. Hospitable staff and wonderful vibe overall - Merci Guillaume!

An exceptional hotel/restaurant run by exceptional people, in an exceptional location.
The hotel is within close proximity to the slopes, the rooms are sublime and the food is as good as anywhere in Europe!
Anastasia (front of house) was particularly helpful and looked after us very well.
We are already working towards coming back at least oncemore this year!
Thanks so much,
D+M

I stayed here last minute before heading off on a few days hiking. The hotel was great, the food in the restaurant in the evening was good (I got the burger) and the breakfast was huge. I would definitely recommend this hotel, it’s a real four star.

Stayed in April as a family of four (two adults and two young children). Stay in hotels on average 150 nights per year; and independently visit and try new hotels in the world.
Nothing can be faulted about Le Monetier. This team (owner, designer, director, team) know exactly what they are doing.
Rooms incredible functionally designed, with the traveler in mind. Ticks the highest marks on: extreme comfortable bed and linen, wonderful relaxing shower, practical storage and utilization. Great amenities, most wonderful balcony with view on the mountains. Another pleasant surprise, excellent climate control (not a default around). Scandinavian design in the room enhances “hygge” and very cozy (not in the bad cramped way). Accommodating to families with cots provided.
Lack of reception desk > VERY smart. This creates an immediate welcoming and familial atmosphere. Strong points: staff well prepared no need of formalities.
F&B; marvelous! Finally a hotel that doesn’t stimulate waste. Excellent selection of top notch breads, cheeses, meats and accommodating sides. Great coffee (AND) tea, what more would you need? Less, but more! For dinner one of the best lamb dishes ever.
Location; central village. Supermarket and bakery next door. Ski rental shops plenty-full and the slopes are a friendly 4 minute walk.
Pro-Active and passionate director (Guillaume, fluent in English, helps and arranges just about everything > didn’t knew this level of hospitality still exists in Europe) leads by example. Staff hence follows accordingly, whether it’s F&B, housekeeping, and other.
So, what to improve / complain?
Difficult. Wife and myself spend an hour debating what could be improved.....
Here it goes....
An extra roll of toilet paper in the room. :-). We couldn’t honestly think of anything else. Even to a point it annoyed us.
So, highly recommended!
