Great views with excellent food , the chicken in dumplings was delightful as was the whole meal with great lodgings as well. A little out of the way but well worth a visit. Called here as it was almost on our route and had such good ratings on tripadvisor ,was not disappointed and worthy of its ratings

I chose this hotel because of its ratings but did not fully take on board other reviewers comments. In short :- *The food is superb (and its in Michelin Guide). Its high quality and not low budget. There were four of us and we only ate in the first night but all four of us loved our dishes. As another...

Excellent spot. Beautiful location. Very nice and friendly proprietor. Impeccable interior, dining room, and tended grounds. A lovely village atmosphere. All in all, a great tranquil setting in lovely french countryside.

Our third visit to the Gay Sejour and it was as special as we remember. Rooms are a good size and very clean. Food is outstanding and it is well worth having the chef's recommendation. Good, very reasonably priced choice of wines - the Savoie ones are very good but difficult to find outside the region. The view from the...

Restaurant with rooms or small hotel with a really cool restaurant? The Gay Sejour (named after the husband and wife chef-proprietors) succeeds as either. Set high on an elevated plateau 1130m (3710ft) above the Annecy valley the all-round views are stunning – wooded crags to the rear and elsewhere an unfolding panorama of alpine ranges and deep valleys. The hotel...

This is the third time I have stayed at this hotel, this time on my own. My room was plain with a shower, but with a nice small balcony overlooking the car park and pretty good value at 78 euros, or 88 if used as a double. Breakfast is continental but rather good with croissant, pastry and mini-loaves and that...

I travelled to the region with 2 colleagues only to discover the original hotel that had been booked by our office had decided to cancel the reservation. Frustrated and tired, we were forced to find another hotel at short notice on our smartphones, and chanced upon this B&B. It's a little far out from Annecy where we were working, but...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Every day, Bernard Gay looks out across the Bauges mountains as he cooks: he has them to thank for the fresh produce from his vegetable garden, the fish from nearby lakes and, of course, Tamié cheese. Under his supervision, this former 17th century Savoyard farm has become a small inn, offering ten bedrooms in a cosy, unpretentious setting. The success of this family-run hotel also has a lot to do regarding its position on the way between Annecy and Albertville. ... more   less
