On arrival it does have the WOW factor. We stayed in a prestige room 106 (180euros per night) superb room on first thoughts, but after a while you start to say a few flaws. Painting needs some attention. Room has no air conditioning, difficult for a place like this but we stayed in October and room very warm, imagine July....

Dear Stephen, Thank you for this review. We understand your comments about the rooms. The nature of the building prevents us to make you enjoy modern facility such as air conditioning, but that does not prevent us from heat well ! The maintenance of the castle requires constant efforts and substential time is short sometimes. The rules in our restaurant...

Stayed at this lovely chateau, bedroom rather small but functional,we had dinner in the stofflet restaurant, which was of good quality and beautifully presented, good choice of wines, restaurant staff very pleasant, we were very surprised that they allowed dogs into the restaurant, the dogs walked around with their owners had a drink from a bowl and settled down under different tables...

Stayed a night at the hotel and had dinner in the restaurant. The hotel feels and looks like an old chateau with many interesting architectural features including the main staircase as well as a delightful terrace for drinks and a vegetable garden to wander round. We had a room on the second floor, which was good value considering the building...

I think this is the best value lunch in a real quality restaurant, I have ever had. As you walk in to the recently restored 17th century manor house, I am sure you will be impressed with the location, the grandeur, and the excellence of the renovation. Next is the dining room, large and beautifully furnished with a friendly and...

We loved this hotel. It's a converted stately home and has a certain quirkiness as a result. But it's setting, with the potager and Japanese garden (pay for entry) is lovely and we spent a day just pottering around. We stayed 2 nights and ate in the restaurant once. The starters were a bit fussy, but the rest of the...

This was a fine dining experience at a remarkable price. We were a party of 7 for lunch. We had the menu terroir plus wine and coffees and deserts which all came in at just over €300 The chateau is a beautiful example of the architecture of the area. Immersed in glorious gardens and the best kitchen garden you are...

We had a family dinner for 4 to celebrate a recent engagement. The chateau is imposing and very impressive. The staff were welcoming and attentive, service was exemplary. The combination of flavours in the food was exquisite! Freshly made bread, amuse bouche and petit fours accompanied a delicious and reasonably priced set menu. The total was €180 for 4 people...

I absolutely love this hotel! It typifies all that is wonderful about rural France, a small town that is just a dot en route to somewhere else but endowed with this picture perfect little chateau, now with a gorgeous walled garden to compliment the oriental park. The rooms evoke the pre-revolutionary days of powdered wigs and rustling silks, named after...
