Called in here after reading the great reviews on here and wasn't disappointed. Friendly bar with friendly staff, we arrived late and almost missed the chance to order food but the lady behind the bar was great and let us order despite the time. Loved the food, I had a steak pie and it was fantastic, I only just managed...

Very friendly local - went several times with family who live just up the street so perfect location. Didnt have any food but the beer was good and a nice atmosphere. The little beer garden out back was also a nice spot for a pint on a sunny evening.

Called for a last minute table at 8pm on a Monday and was offered a wonderful table in the bar area. The reason we were put there is because our two springers joined us. They were welcomed by most of the men in the bar and another man was very generous giving them some treats. We couldn't believe how busy...

This is no frills good pub. Friendly staff with good homemade food. Great for families and they allow dogs in the bar. We went on a Friday early evening and it was very busy (probably a good sign) and it did feel very crowded, however the service was still good.

We booked a table for 10, 4 adults and 6 children. Pub is easy to find with good parking at the rear. Traditional bar area with sufficient seating, they welcome walkers, cyclists and dogs in the main bar. Food was great and good choices, well priced and hearty appetite needed. Some seating outside.

We went to the Masons Arms on recommendation and were not disappointed in the slightest. A great atmosphere, friendly talkative regulars and above all great food! Good service by very friendly and accommodating staff. All in all, a good night out! You must, if in the area, give it a visit!!!

The room was a comfortable, and pleasant place to stay ,after a long, and active day. The pub had tasty food, and the breakfast was delicious. The proprietors were very responsive to emails, when I needed to inform them about a later arrival. I really enjoyed looking through the reading material in the room. I learned about the history of the...

Friendly helpful landlord, nothing too much trouble. Great evening meal and breakfast - I asked where he got the sausages so I could get some when we were next in area! Room wasn't anything special but clean and adequate. Gargrave is on a busy road but the Masons is tucked away in a nice quiet location - If we need...

Just stayed for a week in Gargrave in Betty's cottage Can highly recommend Gargrave as a base for walking made even more worthwhile having a belting pub on your doorstep. We visited twice for food my wife had veg chilli on both occasions and I had braising steak one day and suet pud the next. Excellent portions and great selection...
