This is by far the worst place I have ever stayed, an unfriendly owner who didn't really want me there, a single man walking and was told to leave my boots outside under the bench, booked a £49 single room to include breakfast, was told it was £44 + breakfast at £12 extra but I couldn't expect breakfast until after...

Excellent accommodation in a beautiful guest house. Very clean, a comfortable bed, and remote control for the lighting. The shower was great, as was the supply of a shower cap, shampoo, shower gels, soap and a sewing kit. The breakfast was amazing, with fresh fruits cereal, yoghurt and a full English with toast and condiments provided.

On arrival I introduced myself, told to be quiet, (8.15pm not late). Took straight to room, no tour of house. Informed he was leaving at 9.30 and returning at 7am, NOT VERY GUEST SAFETY CONCIOUS. Was abruptly told no eating in room, it’s on the website. Out of date food for breakfast and complementary biscuits out of date also. Took...

After being on the road since 4am on the morning of checking in, all I require in order to carry out my work is a comfy bed, good shower, WIFI and a parking place. At 3.30pm I had to telephone the hotel for directions as there are two 349's in the same road. The first comment I receive from the...

We are due to visit the Accrington area again and reading recent reviews of this hotel it reminded us of our dreadful experience there a while back. We arrived at approximately 3.45 to be told that 4.30 was the preferred check-in time. We were shown to our room which was disappointing small (virtually no hanging space for clothes). In common...

I stayed here just over a month ago for 1 night. I booked the Norwood as I was at the football ground across the road so this place was the prefect location, it’s also only a 15 minute walk from town. Arrival was just before 6pm and I was greeted by the owner (I think), he confirmed my booking, showed...

I stay away with work regularly and chose Norwood as it was local to my work venue this week. I was very pleasantly surprised! The room was spacious, and I slept very well. The management were very helpful showing me to the room and serving a lovely breakfast. I would not hesitate to stay again with next time I am...

My partner and I stayed here for one night in Sept 2014. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and definitely great value. However, unfortunately, the experience was less than pleasant. The owner did kindly allow us to check in early as we had a wedding to attend nearby. On arrival we stood in the foyer for over 10 minutes...

I stayed at the Norwood in August 2013. Although Accrington sounds a bit grim, I found it to be a pleasant little town. The Norwood is located in a nice part of the town, probably 1-2 miles from the town centre. It's a big old family house; probably Victorian or Edwardian I would imagine. The quaint little football stadium for...
