I would describe the Casa del Maco as a restaurant with rooms as the food is the focal point but the hotel has a very friendly and relaxing vibe. The pool and garden area are lovely and a great place to spend a few hours. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and the service was very attentive without being over the...

We stayed at Casa deal Maco for 4 nights in early June. We wanted a quiet and relaxing break after a hectic week with our grandchildren. What we got far exceeded our expectations. To start with the building is a delightful old property full of atmospheritic charms. The outside terrace, where we ate, with far views of Calpe surrounded by...

Had lunch there this Sunday. The greeting by the owner was spot on, not OTT. Good menu and wines. My lobster starter followed by fish soup and lamb main, with nick nacks between courses was delicious and finished off with a desert to die for. Our table was on the covered terrace which was pleasant while inside was in the...

Fantastic 6 course Gourmet Dinner with paired wines. Impeccable service & fascinating commentary on each wine. Will return soon for lunch on the terrace when the weather is warmer. A beautiful position in the mountains for this elegant Boutique Hotel.

My heart sank as we drove up the narrow track. Where were we going? We found Casa del Maco deserted. I looked though the door: no-one. I went around the front and strolled through the empty restaurant: not a soul. It was my birthday and we were driving from southern Spain and I'd hoped for a special night. Then someone...

We stayed here for just one night. It is a small, privately owned hotel located slightly off the beaten track. The room was a little small, but was quirky with beams and windows overlooking the pool. The bathroom was new and very clean. The pool area is nice and won't be crowded, as there are only 5 rooms. The food...

The best food I have ever tasted. Amazing views. It's not on the cheap side but it is great value for money. Short drive outside Calpe set in the hills. The outside restaurant by the pool with a view of Calpe is stunning. Really looking forward to visiting again this summer. Highly recommend!!

Come here for peace and quiet and the simply wonderful cuisine. Dining here isn't cheap, but it is fabulous! Lovely professional team, lead by the charming Hannes and Barbara. Rooms are smallish and basic, with not much storage space so pack light! The A/C in our room was not up to scratch, the bathrooms are spacious and ultra modern. Do...
