Order for food was taken but not for drinks. Steaks were ordered to be rare, they came well done, no one came to ask if the meal was ok and no drinks throughout, a begrudging refund was given for the steak element of one of the meals, we were told it was not there fault, they were dealing with a...

Just back from a wedding in this lovely, friendly place. We basically took over the hotel, including the gatehouse which can accommodate - it turns out - loads of folk and is great for observing the tradition of the happy couple avoiding clapping eyes on each other until the stroll up the red carpet. Beautifully located, with towering trees all...

We wanted to stay overnight on a visit to New Lanark .This place came in well below other neighbouring hotels on comparison sites so our expectations were not high but from the moment we turned into the drive we were impressed . Fantastic building / Magnificent setting / Well maintained/ Spotless / Friendly and happy staff (if they are happy...

We have just returned from this hotel my son having had his wedding ceremony and celebration here on 30th May, all the staff without exception were polite and very efficient the Hotel building it self is very attractive and set in lovely woodland grounds. There is a lot of dark wood and very "Monarch of the Glen" but still retaining...

I held my wedding at The Cartland Bridge Hotel on the 23rd May 2015, and I have just returned home after having the best weekend of my life, which the staff and venue have in no doubt in my mind made it all the better. Alan, Kim, Scott, Rebecca and Mhari made my new wife and I feel 100% at...

I have just returned home after spending the weekend at Cartland Bridge, where we celebrated my sister's wedding. I cannot praise this venue enough. From the moment we all arrived on Friday Alan, Kim and the rest of the team made us feel like nothing we needed was too much trouble. They all went over and above what you could...

We were here for a large function, tea/coffee and sandwiches, sausage rolls, a cake, standard Scottish purvey. The staff were pleasant and efficient, coped well with the unexpectedly large turnout (it was a funeral). Sausage rolls - fine, hot, cakes - a good if lumpen selection. But the sandwiches!! British rail would have been proud. Very dried-up, thick 'doorsteps'. I...

Recently attended a function here. Upon arrival the function suite was not ready to accept guests at the notified time, we were directed by staff to the bar to have a drink and wait. In the 2 areas of the bar, all the tables were set for diners, including one rather large table decorated for a birthday party. We moved...

I very recently attended a function here. The hotel is an attractive old building set in a nice location but the quality of food served at the function was unbelievably poor. I realise its not possible to serve 80 people the same quality as restaurant food but this didn't come anywhere near close. The starter was 'house pate' but there...

Now the hotel serves as an excellent venue for business meetings, conferences, weddings and social events, each catered within a varied range of suites. Facilities accommodate gatherings for two or 250 guests, with ample free parking. Nearby attractions:-Falls of Clyde, Royal Burgh of Lanark, Roslyn Chapel (noted in the 'Da Vinci Code'), Lanark Loch, Clyde Valley Tourist Route, Tinto Hill, The Glenmuir Outlet.
