We had a lovely time. The inn is charming, built of old stone with flag stone floors. Our rooms were comfortable, though I would prefer a shower that can be band held! The staff were very friendly and helpful. We also ate very well - bar lunch was good and breakfast especially good.

We were a party of six and booked in advance for Boxing Day lunch. The tables were laid lovely and the place was decorated very Christmasy and the place was lovely and warm and inviting. The food was excellent and the service was faultless. So polite and friendly. We all enjoyed our day.

What a complete disappointment. It was a bit busy, but we had to wait 25-30 minutes for our (soft) drinks. I had the prawn starter. Stingy isn't the word. The dish consisted of THREE whole prawns, none of them bigger than a £2 coin. I had hake as a main course, which was acceptable, but riddled with bones. This, and...

It's that time of year again and the Bosses annual visit to the Rose and Crown. The place was packed out with regulars in a festive mood in the bar and the restaurant was full of happy eaters. We gave the starters a miss and went for the turkey. It was absolutely cooked to perfection. The roast potatoes were light and fluffy,and...

One bottle of wine finished we had to call one of the waitresses over to kindly take our order . One and a half...

A really nice country pub. Offering very good quality food and reasonable prices! All staff very friendly and helpfully. You can eat either in the very pleasant restaurant area or at the bar. Throughly recommended!

Four of us enjoyed a delicious meal in relaxed surroundings, the food came in separate containers so it wasn't piled up on the plate, as we were two coupled, the atmosphere was relaxed with a good balance of attention from the waiter/waitress!

Stayed overnight for a local event. Lovely welcome and nice room let down by an extractor fan completely blocked. This was causing lots of condensation when showering (no bathroom windows) resulting in mould around bath.

We spent one night here and loved it. The room was modern, comfortable, and clean with all the amenities including some biscuits. The pub offers good food for a good price. The staff was very family friendly; they allowed us to take our food to our room, had a high chair set up for breakfast, etc. These things are so...

Stayed here Friday night. Room was reasonable, clean and tidy. Looking a bit tired. Only one chair to sit on so one of us had to sit on bed to watch tv. Staff were very welcoming. We had a meal in the restaurant and it was lovely, reasonable price too. Having had such a lovely evening meal we had great...
