We stayed at this hotel for two nights. We went hiking in the surrounding area which was really great! The location of the hotel makes it ideal for hiking to Arnastapi and along the beach. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable. The room was quite nice and had a view of the sea which was just amazing! Breakfast was...

Stayed here for 2 nights to explore the Snaefellsnes peninsula. Our room (room 11) was in the main building with the window looking out to the sea. Our room was spacious with a TV and a comfy double bed. Bathroom was clean but the shower looked quite old. The staff were helpful and quickly provided us with an electric kettle...

We spent 1 night here. The weather was rough it snowed right after we arrived and overnight so no northern lights. Great hotel, friendly staff who will advise you on local sites. Clean modern rooms with great wifi. We booked the family room which was big enough for us and 2 kids. Bathroom is shower only. Nice down linens on...

We spent 2 nights in Fosshotel Hellnar in March. Staff were friendly and helpful. My booking email from booking.com said check in closed at 9pm and we were running late but I got a very quick email response from the hotel informing me the reception was open until 11pm and only the restaurant shut at 9, which helped relieve my...

We stayed here for two nights towards the end of our road trip. It was nice being away from the usual tourist spots. Nearby attractions are just a short drive away and you could take a lovely walk and enjoy the sunset. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast spread was good and sumptuous! A lovely place to wind down...

We stayed for only one night, on March 10, 2017. We had a double bed with an ocean view. The location is excellent - very close to Vatnshellir caves and many scenic sites in western Snaefellsness. We arrived at 8:40pm, and their restaurant closes at 9pm. We were able to get eat at the restaurant and had a delicious meal....

not to repeat so many others, but this is the only show in town. With that said, the property has a calming feeling and I felt so relaxed the entire time there. The food was excellent and the staff overall was very service oriented. Will come here again

We stayed one night in early March 2017. The room was small, but clean and nice. When you've been to 10+ hotels and hostels you start to notice the little things. For example, they provided a floor towel for stepping outside of the shower. The dinner at the hotel was the best we've had in 10 days in Iceland. We...

After staying in seven hotels in Iceland over a two week period it occurred to me that they all have certain things in common. I’ve decided to list those commonalities in each review then mention any departure therefrom with respect to a specific property, so here goes: rooms are very small by American standards (your suitcases will be in the...
