This was a great little place to stay. You really get a feel of Yorkshire. It's like staying in a mini village within a small town. The rooms are well kept and unique. The rooms vary in size. Some look like small barn conversions. Really beautiful. The bar is lovely, friendly staff. Parking right outside hotel. The hotel itself has...

We have eaten here a short while ago but living a short while away we had to go home. So we decided to book an overnight stay. Well from the second we arrived we were greeted in a freindly manner the manager and team were so freindly nothing was too much trouble the breakfast was plentiful and the beer was...

We have stayed at the Kings Head several times now and we always have a fabulous time. We try and grab a short weekend before Christmas just to chill. This weekend was just what we needed. A great big thank you to the wonderful friendly staff at the Kings Head but most of all to the chef. He deserves an...

What a lovely hotel in a delightful village. Very nice sized room off a courtyard with an enormous bathroom. Ideal for an overnight stay. Great welcome on arrival, very friendly and helpful staff. Loving open fires in the bar and restaurant. Food looked and smelled great. Must go back to try a main meal sometime. Breakfast was very hearty and...

My parents and there friends booked for a meal there at lunchtime. It was awful. Cold plates( basic rule of food service to have warm plates) dietary requirements were totally ignored. Cold vegetables cold gravy. Wouldn't go again. It's a shame for a major tourist town to have a main restaurant and hotel that is so bad.

We stayed at the Kings Head as a group of friends for one night on 19th Nov as we have done on various occasions. On arrival we were suprised to find two of our double rooms we had booked in May were made as twins. This was reluctantly rectified. Unfortunately our outside rooms had no heating and did not seem...

I have to start this review by saying that the staff were friendly, helpful and certainly trying hard. They are clearly over-worked, but that's Greene King, I suppose. it is bizarre to find a GK hotel in the Yorkshire Dales. On our first evening the lady who was looking after reception was also working the bar and out front in...
