A three night stay at the end of two weeks in Normandy was a highlight of our trip. Beautiful accommodation and Marie's care and kindness made Le Vivier a memorable experience for my daughter and I. We stayed in a twin room on the first floor, Côte de Grâce, overlooking the large walled garden and appreciated the quality of the...

What an amazing few days we spent at Le Vivier. The home was stunning, with no detail overlooked. Yet it was very welcoming (even with children). Marie's breakfasts were homemade and delicious. The town of Lion-sur-mer was a great location to visit the d-day beaches too - wish we had another day or two to stay here - we all...

Le Vivier is a wonderful B&B. Our hosts, Marie and Pascual, were gracious, accommodating, informative, helpful, and hospitable in every way. Their amazing home has been recently updated/renovated, and combines style with modern touches. The seafood feast was everything we'd hoped for - every kind of seafood you'd imagine on a seafood menu, and a few you may not have...

Beginning with a very warm welcome from our gracious hostess, Marie Collet, my sister and I enjoyed staying in this charming house in early July. Its location was perfect for us as it was in such close proximity to the seafront and this allowed us great beach walks. Marie offered us bikes if we wished. The overall ambience in this...

My husband and I stayed here for a week in June. We wanted a convenient location for visiting all the WW2 sites plus Bayeaux, Mont St Michel and Giverny, somewhere with a bit of character and within walking distance of restaurants - Le Vivier ticked every box and more. Marie and her husband Pascal couldn't have been more welcoming and...

This B&B in a 200 year old mansion, lovingly renovated about 250 yards from Sword Beach was our base for visiting the Normandie sites. Marie, the owner, was gracious and very helpful suggesting restaurants and sites. Her breakfasts were a perfect French petit dejeuner served on classic china with a table setting with jams for the just baked breads. The...

My husband and I stayed at Le Vivier for 3 nights in June, it is the most welcoming and beautiful place to arrive, Marie is a sweet and attentive host ensuring we know all the places to visit, it is a perfect home base for Normandy and the landing beaches. The smell of home baked goods each day and the...

Our stay at Le Vivier was one of our highlights in France. Marie is a gracious, warm and welcoming host. The extra " touches" that are provided truly personalise the experience. For breakfast, the home made jams, baked cakes and scones as well as the freshly brewed pots of tea and coffee along with good company were wonderful. Marie and...

Such beautiful accomodation and Marie is such a warm, hospitable hostess. We stayed a few nights with our teenage children and had a lovely time. Everything about the accomodation is first class from the room decor to the breakfast. Marie is a lovely hostess and speaks great English! Would highly recommend this venue.

I would highly recommend this B&B in Lion-sur-mer, for three huge reasons: the rooms are comfortable, the host - Marie - is lovely, and the breakfast's are excellent. Marie goes above and beyond to make your stay exactly how you would hope it to be. She makes homemade jams, and something new each day for breakfast (alongside the standard pastries)....
