We have stayed for one night only when visiting Plitvice Lakes (cca 10 mns drive). This is a very well run B&B with super friendly host Bojana who speaks perfect English and will go above and beyond to make sure that you have everything you need. Everything was spotlessly clean and the breakfast was just a delight. Bojana gave us... More

Bojana was sooo nice and she was able to accommodate us at the last minute. We needed a room for one night near Plitvice and this worked out great. She gave us a great recommendation for dinner our first night (Bistro Marina) and the next morning we had a lovely breakfast and then Bojana gave us directions and all the... More

Great B&B with spotless rooms and good views. The owner is good-natured and knows how to welcome guests. From the house, you can take nature walks on the quiet road; restaurants and markets within walking distance. Good coffee, assorted breads & pastries, fruits, yogurt, and cereals were available if you choose the optional cold breakfast. Overall a wonderful place to... More

House Mara is a lovely guesthouse, perfect if you're visiting Plitvice National Park. The rooms are clean! Bojana and her husband were very friendly and ready to help. House is new with nice furnishings. There is no noise from the street! Very quiet place to sleep. Plitvice lakes are just 10-15 minutes drive. Good continental breakfast. Bojana speaks very good... This was a fantastic location for us to visit Plitvic Lakes. House Mara is a quiet and tranquil place to stay. The owner Bouena was the most gorgeous host, so so friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable about the district. Our rooms and the common areas were spotlessly clean, good size and comfortable beds. Great breakfast. Walking distance to restaurants.

You should stay here! We only stayed one night, and I wish we would have stayed longer. The owner, Bojana, could not have been sweeter or more welcoming. She spoke perfect English, chatted with us in the evening, provided a wonderful breakfast in the morning (well worth 5 Euros each!), and was all-around the perfect hostess. The bed was very... More

I was cycling across Europe on a charity tour. Tired after 14 hours on my bike I arrived at House Mara and was absolutely delighted with my choice. The room was amazing, the house well presented, easy to find and very welcoming. The hostess, who's name I am ashamed to have forgotten now, was incredible. I've stayed in hotels big... More
