Stayed one night at Salt Rock Hotel, it was very pleasant. The buffet dinner was quite good and there was loads of variety. Staff were friendly and attentive. Bed was comfortable and the view from my room was beautiful. Buffet breakfast the following morning was very substantial.

We had our wedding at Salt Rock Hotel and what a disappointment. The do not accommodate you at all. Do not have your wedding at this place, you do not need extra stress on your wedding day!!!!!!!!! The lights in the restroom did not work and therefore the guest had to use their phones. The bar was not properly stock...

After spending the week in Durban for a business congress, we hired a car and drove up the beautiful Durban coastline to Ballito. Salt Rock Hotel was recommended to us so we had booked in for the weekend. On arrival we were asked if we were there for 'timeshare' and even after saying no we were put into a tacky...

My sister and I spent a week here recuperating, and the spectacular sea views were well worth the stay. The dolphin sighting one morning was also a treat. The service was a little slow, however, and a particular staff member unwilling to exert themselves once gratuity was not offered (on the bar service room bill). The food was dismal the...

Salt Rock is a solid 3 star property that has been around forever, It is dated but its location on the Dolphin Coast and the service and staff more than make up for the dated surroundings. Our kids loved playing on the beach and in the pools. However, we were particularly impressed by the home made food, which was absolutely...

My wife and I have just returned from a fantastic anniversary weekend at this hotel, from the moment we arrived we were greeted by friendly, helpful staff who went out of their way to make you feel Special and Welcome. We stayed in room 303 which was clean and had everything that one required except a hairdryer for the wife....

A week spent at this Beach Resort within the Salt Rock Hotel was absolutely brilliant. The quality of service was a little slow, but acceptable. The location could not be bettered with great views from an ocean facing balcony and loverly beach walks. The food was perhaps only average with the exception of really good and traditional Natal curries. The...

Friendly and professional staff members. Nice room with balcony and sea view, bath and shower. Clean room, comfortable bedding. Safe environment with security. We love the breakfast and dinner that was included. Food is prepared with so much love. Every day is a variety of different food on the buffet. We stayed for 5 days and not even get the...

Great views, amazing food and great facilities. It could do with a revamp of the rooms which look like something straight out of the 90's. Paying for internet is a very outdated business model. If a meager coffee shop can give free wifi out I don't see why a hotel that costs of R2000/night in peak season could charge additional...

This is an old hotel set in one of the nicest parts of South Africa. I liked the revamped rooms with tasteful decor, good beds, overhauled bathrooms and the most amazing seaviews of the majestic Indian Ocean. The staff were phenomenal. The food was good, although the options were limited. The ambience and good service made for a pleasant stay....
