As per other reviews I have read, I can confirm that the rooms are relatively basic, but comfortable and could do with an update - or perhaps it just adds to the relaxed atmosphere. In saying that we did not spend much time in our room as the communal areas were great. The service was outstanding and the food was...

Went to this hotel out of nostaligia, spent most of my youth there in the days of Ralf Hullet . The view is super and the beach as well , breakfast good but dinner wanting . The bedrooms are somewhat shabby and are not "fresh".

We were lucky enough to have from 20th March to 31st March 2017 in the timeshare units at this hotel. It is 100 steps from the beach where you can still find shells. The units are clean and very comfortable. The staff at this resort go out of their way to help you and all the hotel facilities are available...

The drive to the hotel through the lush of trees and plants, the colonial décor and atmosphere, the beautiful scenery from your room window, interrupted and the sound of the waves make it a pleasant stay at the hotel. The dinner and breakfast buffet is a great selection, great place for business travelling and for families with small kids or...

I attended a conference on stress and trauma release hosted at this hotel. The setting made it perfect forthe purpose. Beautiful tropical gardens, fantastic decor in the lobby and restaurant area, and best of all: location - on a cliff overlooking the beach. Staff were friendly and helpful. My special order meal (halaal) was taken care of everyday. I didn't...

We had our company conference here last week, over an extremely hot period. Some of the rooms, including the one I stayed in, had no air conditioning (truly unbearable). I thought that was the bare minimum standard for a 3 star hotel in SA. The hotel is also in need of a little TLC. Other than that, the food, conferencing...

The hotel is beautifully situated just above the beach of golden sand - the sound of the crashing waves is a constant presence. Rooms, while not exactly luxurious, are very comfortable and well-equipped - mine had a glorious view from the balcony. A good swimming pool and, a distinctive feature, the sea water rock pool are great for swimming. Public...

I recently stayed at Salt Rock hotel with my son. We stayed there as we have previously stayed at the hotel and it has a great location right on the beach. The bad points: 1. Poor welcome at the gate on arrival. The gate guard could not have been more sour. 2. The food was not great - we stayed...
