This was the most incredible trip. The hotel is in a stunning location. Even if you merely came here and sat at the window all day long you would be satisfied. Every room has an incredible view of the Towers and the beautiful lake. It is a total splurge, but completely worth it. We did legs of the "W" hike...

Torres del Paine is stunning but what made it extra special was staying at explora! I am struggling to put all the wonderful memories and thoughts going through my head. The highlights are many, from the lodge itself, the beautifully appointed rooms with breathtaking views of the lake and the massif horns, the GUIDES are excellent and really try get...

Explora Patagonia was definitely the highlight of our honeymoon. It was worth the splurge! Rooms: beautiful rooms with a fantastic view. We stayed in the room facing the massif and it was absolutely gorgeous. After returning from a full day of hiking, it was amazing being able to sit and relax in the room and have a gorgeous view while...

First, let me share that I am a huge fan of Explora properties. Within the first hour of arriving you feel totally relaxed. There is a calmness and peaceful feeling at this hotel. All the open space of the small conversation lounge areas, bar, restaurant all face the glacier green lake and majestic snow capped mountains. It takes your breath...

Start with the view. The lodge is situated on the lake and has a terrific view of the massif of the southern Andes. While the location in Torres del Paine Park means a fairly long ride from the airport in Punta Arenas, it means a shorter ride when you go for excursions. The lodge is well designed and our room...

Dear Traveler, Thank you very much for your explora Patagonia experience review. Our guides and our explorations are the core of our experience, which is why I'm particularly glad to hear you enjoyed them both. I will...

For months I was vacillating in between Explora and Awasi. I had wanted to visit the Explora for over 10 years but the Awasi looked gorgeous as well. Explora's greatest strength is it's location. It's right in the centre of the Park with a breath-taking view of the TdP massif. The hotel offers approximately 4 activities every morning and afternoon....

The treks are breathtaking. The guides are friendly, knowledgeable, and contagious with enthusiasm. The rooms, meals, and service are world-class. We loved experiencing the ruggedness of Patagonia and then retreating to the simple luxuriousness of the hotel. I strongly recommend Explora Patagonia. There's internet, but don't expect a good connection.

The phrase “location, location, location” must have been created after visiting the Salto Chico Hotel. It is impossible to imagine a location as perfect as this. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our lodge is located right in the heart of the extraordinary Torres del Paine National Park in southern Patagonia. The diverse and untouched landscapes of this area led UNESCO to declare it a biosphere reserve. Our Patagonia hotel lodge opened in 1993 on the banks of the Salto Chico waterfall. It affords an excellent view of the unique Paine Massif and two of the three impressive torres, or towers, which give the park its name. The lodge has 49 rooms and a variety of inviting spaces. Situated on a 3-hectare (7.4-Acre) site, the design borrows certain organic forms from the landscape itself, adapting to it with simple elegance. It was designed to create a dialogue with its environment, putting human beings in touch with the sublimity of their surroundings. For travellers, the lodge provides the welcome surprise of comfort in a remote area. Nonetheless, you are not isolated from nature, but rather placed "within" it. ... more   less
