Stayed here for one night during our W circuit trek. The rooms each had 8 beds and the lodge gets pretty packed. Dinner was delicious but slightly rushed because they needed room for a second round of meals.

This is a specific complaint on the currency policy the company Fantastico Sur has put in place. If you are a foreign tourist, you don't pay tax if you pay in foreign currency. Locals pay tax (19%), even by doing so, after-tax rates for locals are still 20% lower. Overpriced dorm beds excl breakfast cost 75 USD. Now, if you...

we stayed in dome and the showers were great after a long day of trekking. Food staff Jose, Claudia and Emileo were wonderful. Also take a little walk after dinner above the cabins for a great waterfall view !!

We stayed here on our 2nd night on the w. The little a frame cabanas are a great choice. Toasty warm with a wood stove. The wood fired Hot tub was a delight. Meals in the Refugio were average, but to be expected for such a remote location. Had to vacate the area when we finished eating to allow for...

We (two couples) rented two cabins when doing the W. We rented about 9 months in advance. The cabins were well appointed (for the backcountry) and very comfortable. It was great to get out of the wind although the cabins still shook a bit. The wood fired hot tub was the bonus. It was hot! Great to hang out in...

I stayed here with my fiance and we really enjoyed it - especially the Domo, where we stayed. The refugio itself is nice, the food was good and service was efficient - no complaints at all. It's also right on the lake, so nice for a wander if you get in early enough and the weather is good. We stayed...

The location of this refugio and camping is fantastic! It offers basic accommodation in bunk beds, private cabanas, domos, pre booked tents and camping sites. Some sites are on wooden boards for pre booked tent rentals, the other sites are in a beautiful forest or by the beach. The sites in the forest are better as they are much protected...

After a stunning (but very tiring) walk from Chileno my friend and I arrived in Cuernos; an absolutely stunning place surrounded by crystal blue water, mountains and trees. Definitely worth the long walk. I recommend pre booking ready made tents before trekking as you will be exhausted and saves you having to put up your tent AND having to carry...

Treat yourself to a cabana - it was the absolute highlight of the W trek after 2 hard days' hiking in typically unpredictable weather conditions! I suffered in a tent the nights before and after - this was a dream in comparison. The cabins are clean and cosy and we got stunning views over the lake on the beautiful, sunny...

Reserved platforms are well spaced the open camp areas are a little tighter, but still have good protection in the trees instead of an open lot like at Camping Grey or Camping Paine Grande. Make sure to get there early for the best site. If you have a very stable tent and inflatable mat it seems there are camp spots...
