A large room and excellent staff. The breakfast was a bit limited but a Japanese breakfast of pork with garlic made an unusual start to the day. The coffee however was terrible especially as this is a local product.

Fresh from our 12-hour sleeper bus from Vientiane, we ditched the tuk tuk drivers on their ride offers and went on foot in search of our Pakse home for six days. We stumbled upon FoRest Hotel and sat right outside on the wood benches when we were approached by the Manager and some staff and offered us some refreshing iced teas. We then chatted with them and ended up checking in. The personal service that they offer was beyond our expectations. We needed a motorbikeonce and they arranged with the rental company right away. True Laotian hospitality at its best.

This hotel is quite good value with many positives. Our 4th floor room size, bed and bathroom were good. We had a little balcony that had a view of some of Pakse and the street below. A big plus is the friendly, helpful staff even if things sometimes happen at Lao speed. The location is good near a bus terminal and fairly close to the main street restaurants and shops. The internet was mostly OK as was the air-con and fan. Breakfast was basic but good enough but in a 3-day stay became same-same.
The main problem was the poor water pressure at times meaning no shower until later. Maybe this is a town water supply problem but there are way to store water for later,

Are you finding yourself in the position where you are lucky enough to find a room available here? Book it! We booked this hotel after only looking online for a minute, but we were very happy with it, and we got a great price! The room is very spacious, everything you need is there, and it feels like home! There is a restaurant in the hotel, it's very quiet, yet, within 1 minute walking you have a bank (atm +moneygram etc), restaurants, a bus station, market, shops, ... We had a room with balcony, and the sunsets are beautiful. For us it was the perfect place to rest after traveling for 2 years. The friendly boys and girls from the kitchen, cleaning-department, and reception are doing a very good job! Highly recommend this place to everyone who needs to be in Pakse. The staff speaks English, Thai, Lao, and maybe even other languages I don't know about!

The hostel is a good place if you want to spend some days.

I was lucky as when I arrived to the hostel it was anybody in the sharing room so I was completely alone.

The staff is friendly and they will help you with any question you'll have.

FoRest Hotel is well located to explore Pakse. It is very calm because not at the main road. Good welcome, clean and spacy twin room, AC works well. Very friendly manager gave good advices, booked tickets to Don Khone and have good advices like where to buy SIM cards. Teriyaki breakfast was our favorite choice. We could leave some luggage during our time in Don Khone.
We recommend really.

I think one of the better options in Pakse. A little bit more expensive than the other budget hotels, but it is worth the extra dollars, good quality. Everything is clean, the staff polite and helpfull. Comfy bed and a good breakfast. We could even park our motorbike in the courtyard.

The hotel is located in downtown at the Centre of Pakse. It has a spacious bathroom and the breakfast was served in Laos style and it was delicious. Hotel helped me order food from other restaurants and to rent motor bikes and buses. It is the cheapest and provide best service with its price

We stayed in a double aircon room on two separate occasions as we travelled through Pakse to get to 4000 islands (Don Khone) and back. Our room was spacious and clean, a little basic and not the most modern style. However you get free toiletries and water which is a good touch. The shower was very nice - powerful and good hot water!

My parents also had an aircon double, which was also spacious and included two armchairs and a table where ours did not, however ours had a safe and theirs did not. So it's a bit hit and miss what you may end up with in your room. I suggest the hotel ensures every room has a safe in future.

Wifi quality varies a bit but is generally good.

The breakfast is Japanese style, and whilst it wasn't all to my taste, I enjoyed most of it and found it interesting!

Forest hotel is a good option in Pakse - it is a little overpriced in my opinion, but that's Pakse! I would stay again I think.
