The Alisa Hotel is quite new and located behind their guesthouse on the main road. Reception was welcoming. The room was clean and modern and comfortable for a night. Bathroom was good and decent Wifi. There is storage space and a comfortable bed but no safe. Breakfast was basic but fine. We booked through Agoda but Agoda’s pay at the hotel is a scam. They charge 3% on card and if you choose to pay in local Kip their conversion rate is poor. There was little occupancy, if we stayed again we would pay the much cheaper cash rate and skip Agoda. It is fine for a night but we didn’t return to it as we passed through Paksé again and stayed at the comparable but cheaper Sang Aroun across the street.

We stayed in 2 rooms during our time in Pakse: one with 2 twin beds and one with a double bed. The rooms were spacious, clean, had good air conditioning, good wifi connection and decent bathrooms. The reception, like everyone else has mentioned before, did not speak that much english but we got our rooms fine. The location is pretty good, just a few min walk from most places. And most importantly, very close to Miss Noy's motorbike rental for the Pakse loop. Across the street is a mart where you can get pretty much everything you need.

Quite happy with this simple hotel. The room was big and clean and the staff friendly. The only problem was the off-and-on wifi upstairs; downstairs in the lobby there seemed to be no problem. The receptionist’s English is excellent and she was able to give reliable information.

This simple, no frills guesthouse works for a family. It has a/c and hot water, no breakfast but the room is clean. The rooms on the street hear the traffic at night and in the early morning hours. The staff are nice. It has a place to pull in your motorbike at night. It is close to restaurants, and transportation

We had many moskitos in our room but no moskitonet!! So we spend 2 hours to kill the moskitos first, but who nows to catch them all?!? In the night it was very loud in the room (dogs in the neighborhood)... We booked a transfer to the 4000 islands at alisa's. Next morning the bus comes to late (1 hour). Oh and we pay 70.000 each, but it wasnt a VIP-Bus like the others for that price (book at mrs. noy). No it was a old, stinky big bus, totally overfilled. Me an my girlfriend had to take seat seperately... :( so never again this guesthouse!!

The guesthouse is in a good location, close to the bus stop, restaurants, shops, travel companies and scooter hire places. The room I had was large, the beds were comfortable, linen and pillows smelt clean. The AC worked ok and there was a large wardrobe to put your belongings. Although the bathroom was also large, the showers didn't have great water pressure and didn't get very hot. They had a TV with few English speaking channels but the wifi does not work in the rooms, you could only get it working in reception. My room (also had small balcony and chair) overlooked the main road, so could get a bit noisy with the traffic at times. What stood out for me the most was the service, the greeting was a few grunts and a passport request, a here's your key and that was it. The staff didn't speak much English at all, so couldn't get any information about trips from them...I also saw the cleaning staff lazing around in rooms that they were meant to be cleaning! So an ok place to stay and good for the price but don't expect much in terms of hospitality... shame really, they have the location and decent facilities just the people working there need the will and passion to work in the service industry!

Mixed opinion. Clean and spacious rooms but unfriendly and unhelpful staff. Wifi didn't reach the upstairs also. Overall basic but good for the price (it is one of the cheapest Pakse hotels I believe).

We had a good stay in Alisa. The room is clean and spacious. WiFi doesn't work in the room and they should fix that. Guesthouse is still quite new but start to show some signs of a lack of maintainance. Centrally located and good a/c/. Recommended place in Pakse.

We booked this Guesthouse mainly for the convenience close to the motorbike rental places. Our room was spacious and the bed comfortable, but the aircon didn't work that well. The shower was actually too hot and could not adjust the temperature. We had to switch the heater off at the mains and have cold showers because the water was too hot. Be careful when booking bus tickets through the hotel. They forgot to book to directly with the bus company and ended up missing the bus departing Pakse. When we asked them where our bus was they called the bus company and we had someone drive us to the bus on the way to Champasak. We booked the bus to Phnom Penh and had to change vehicles 6 times before eventually arriving at our destination - 14 hour journey!!!
