Combine a 125 year-old property located in the heart of a charming ski village with a talented and dedicated staff and the result is a wonderful experience. Åre is synonymous with skiing and the hotel keeps the tradition going with a discount program at a great ski shop just around the corner. Start your day with an expansive breakfast overlooking...

Åregården has always been the central hub in Åre and the grand old lady right in the middle of the village. It still is within spitting distance from everything worth visiting. The ambience of the hotel is still there, unfortunately the managements focus on details is not. With the charged price level and Åregården´s history one expects more. Missing towels...

The hotel has a great location, right in the city center. You can feel the history of the hotel even though rooms have been restored. Lovely place though I misses a gym and more options of food there.

Only stayed here for one night so only saw a small part of the hotel. The staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. The entrance, lounge and bar areas are really warm and comfortable, with wooden panels and cosy design. It feels like a really luxurious old school ski lodge. They've got a spa but I only used the sauna an...

We spend our last night in Sweden in Aregarden hotel and we had a great time. We received excellent service from Veronica at the front desk. Did everything she could to make our stay as good as possible. Nice room. Sauna stayed open especially for us. We had dinner in the Italian restaurant.. Food was good and staff very friendly....

Åregården has a long history, but the hotel needs to get rid of some of it. The interior is not only old fashioned, its old. We had a double room, which was OK, nothing special. The breakfast nothing special, either.

We liked, would recommend and most likely go again, because of... The location; next to the town square, shops, restaurants - and ski lifts. It's the best located hotel in Åre. It's history; it's the first hotel in Are, with lots of original features. It's interior; from comfortable (Dux) beds to stylish interior design. Stay in comfort during your next...

I visited the hotel with my family and we booked a mini suite. The Hotel is an old building with a lot of "feeling". The reception has a stuffed Elk welcoming you and there are plenty of "Chesterfield" sofas and chairs. Nice when you get back from a day in the slopes. The suite was two rooms and a bathroom....

Great old fashioned but charming hotel. After reading reviews on here I was hesitant to book a room, but did so anyway. The room we had was newly renovated, no carpet (big thumbs up for that), nice modern furniture and a great spacious bathroom. I was very impressed. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely book there again.

“Rooms on the third floor (one flight of stairs above the entrance) are small, but looks the most like the pictures on the web. Rooms on the second floor, the same floor as the entrace, have a fair standard. Be aware that the rooms often have a connecting door.”
