We have been to the Maldives about 6 times so far and stayed at some of the best resorts the Maldives have to offer. This time we stayed at the Cheval Blanc for 4 nights and it was by far the best experience we had on the Maldives. It is uniquely set on several islands that are connected by small bridges. Only for the amazing SPA island you need to take a 2 minute boat trip. The villas are huge and so beautifully furnished and decorated. The bed is super comfortable and the views from the beach villas over the privates pools are breathtaking. All the rooms are in superb shape…looks like it just opened this year! The restaurants offer a wide variety of food from Italian to local to Japanese food. The prices for food & beverages… as everywhere in 5 star hotels on the Maldives is high but much better then on some other resorts we stayed at. The breakfast is out of this world and best of it all is the service! Laurent Chancel is the General Manager and I have never seen someone trying so much to make his guest feel at home and feel special! He has a real gift of surrounding him with a stunning group of staff that make you feel very special! It’s top 5 star without all the fuss of needing to dress up for dinner. You can come as you are and in whatever way you feel comfortable. To us its the best resort in the Maldives and thus I can only recommend it! We will be back

This was our second time at Cheval Blanc and the staff made us feel like coming home, especially Laurent the manager who remembers all of his guests and treats everyone like family, he and the other staff members makes you feel like being part of the family and I would like to thank you all of them as they make our stay special and most comfortable as possible and this is why we will return again for sure.
Once you arrive your butler will unpack your clothes and arrange them perfectly in the closet and your traveling clothes are straight into the laundry service for cleaning, this is the difference to other so called 5 star hotels, just perfect after a long flight from Europe.
The villas are all perfectly prepared when you arrive with a bottle (not half bottle) of champagne and lovely canapés.
Your butlers will arrange all your dinner and any other bookings for gym, water activities for you and makes sure you will get there in time, our butler Ashra was great and we could not ask for more.
Spa island is a great change and the pool and bar area for sunset is perfect.
I could write a lot more about more about this great hotel, but I believe there is no better way to experience something special as we did by trying it yourself.

Spent five wonderful days at one of the water villas at Cheval Blanc Randheli with the family in Nov 2022. This was our first trip after three years due to pandemic induced travel restrictions. And what a trip it was! The villa was truly amazing and even more beautiful than in the pictures or the videos on YouTube. Kudos to Laurent Chancel the GM for his warm hospitality, to Remy the pastry chef for the wonderful croissants and other lovely creations that he sent to our table every day during breakfast (I still miss your sugar brioche Remy), to Eman for ferrying us back to the villa with a smile late at night after dinner, and to Saddam our wonderful Major Dome for making sure that all our needs (even the tiniest ones) are met. Saddam even went out of his way to proactively get us complimentary bottles of Volvic when he noticed that we brought along Volvic to the resort (it happens to be our beverage of choice). It was also such a lovely experience to be cycling from our villa to the main area of the resort while being greeted at every corner by staff in French (either a bonjour or a bonsoir, depending on the time of the day) who would stop by to let us through. It is these little things that we will remember from our trip to Cheval Blanc. The food was also fantastic and the highlights were the breakfast (especially the pastries), the Italian restaurant Deelani (esp the truffle pizza, fritto misto, linguine vongole), and their homemade ice cream. Saw some baby sharks at the resort, a pair of stingrays, and a pod of dolphins (swimming past our villa after a brief shower). We enjoyed working out at the gym and playing pool and foosball at the lounge, Had a blast and my daughter really did not want to leave when it was time to go. To the team at Cheval Blanc, thank you for those beautiful memories!

Or since its french centric, Bugatti might be the better analogy. Cheval is a resort that few can afford but has levels of performance that mere mortals can only dream of. You can get 90% performance at many other resorts at half the price, but that elusive 10% of perfection I have never seen anywhere else.

1. Our butler Saddam was the man. Many high-end resorts do a great job of training hospitality, but it's rare to find a very high IQ person with a genuine calm warmth that was always positive and on his game. Saddam always had an answer and often took unrequested proactive steps to make our stay better. We viewed our experience through the resort via our interactions with him as he made our wishes commands.
2. The entire staff worked as a hive. They must to have a cloud-based notes system so that personalization could be shared across the resort. Like Saddam, everyone we encountered where smart empowered problem solvers that were focused on our experience.
3. That all being said, it's crazy expensive. It's really easy to spend outrageous amounts of money here. While this place rocks, it is not what I would call bang for your buck, it is luxury at any cost.
4. Chica our snorkel and scuba instructor was great and also the deckhands.
5. There are many cool and unique activities to do on the island and the spa was very good. The spa island is very calm to just hang out on as well.
6. Our room was rock and roll with excellent design and technology, the only complaint I have is families of 4 should be able to stay in a one-bedroom. A warm jacuzzi somewhere on the island would be great as well.
7. The only hiccups in our trip were on arrival and departure. They majorly dropped the ball on our arrival, no one was there and we did not have the VIP airport escort we requested and on our departure, I wish they would have arranged our departure earlier, we barely made our flight and it was stressful and the Maldives airport is a nightmare.
Overall, it was a service like we have never experienced and good motivation to try to earn enough money to come back again one day.

Best property we have ever visited. The location, physical plant, food, rooms, solitude … exceeded every expectation we could have dreamed of. From the personal “butler” who picks out suggested outfits at any one of the several fantastic restaurants, to the spacious villas with stare of the art technology/views/sizeable plunge pools to world class cuisine, a first rate dive shop, and a clientele that quietly enjoys the property without getting in each others’ way … general manager Laurent Chancel has built a tour de force. Every member of the staff operates as a seasoned pro. If you need anything, consider it done.

This experience does not come inexpensively. The price tag is hefty and can add up in a hurry. But, in spite of this, we found there to be great value. You get what you pay for. And, in the case of CB Randheli, you are getting the very best in luxury hospitality.

We had a splendid villa on the water, we felt like being in a luxurious palace.

As soon as you arrive you are welcomed by the full Management team. They are there to welcome you when you arrive and they are there to say good bye when you leave. During the stay we met each member of the Management practically every day either at lunch or/and during the dinner. The relationship is very friendly and professional, a real pleasure every time you meet them. Many thanks to the GM Laurent Chancel, Sebastien Gillard the HM, and Eric the culinary Manager. And of course to Adhly our Butler who has been always
responding efficiently to any of our request. Everywhere in the resort, the staff has been very professional and friendly.

From the villa you could walk to the various restaurants and facilities or have an electric buggy car picking you up, or use your villa bicycles.

The restaurants are top class. We especially enjoyed the Japanese restaurant which is excellent and we went many times to the quiet Italian one where we could watch the reef sharks in the water while dining.
We also enjoyed many times, a nice and private lunch in our villa served by our butler.

I also have to say that we have been more than spoiled as every afternoon we were finding in our kitchen a beautiful cake, as good as the one you could find in the best bakeries in Paris. I am a sweet tooth so I had to struggle not to over indulge myself every day. Absolutely delicious and unbelievable to have this in the middle of the Indian Ocean. Too much?? No, just nice!

All water sports of course and a fantastic Gym with a nice and friendly coach.
When we left we got some Cheval Blanc caps and of course a box of yummy macarons, as a nice gesture.

We will of course come back with great pleasure to the Cheval Blanc Randheli resort next time we go to the Maldives.

There are no words to describe how SUPERB this resort is. My husband and I are familiar with the wonderful Cheval Blanc resort in St. Barths but nothing could prepare us for our experience at Randheli. Everything about the place is just magical - the villas, the spa, the beaches, the food, the cocktails and more than anything...the EXCEPTIONAL staff who made our holiday (with special thanks to Eunice, Pedro, Lele, Sam, Stephanie, Simone, Daniel and Laurent - there are far too many names to mention!) The service is second to none and the staff will go above and beyond to make your stay as special as possible, you really have to experience it to believe it. We loved every single minute of our holiday and were absolutely devastated to leave (we can’t wait to return!) If you stay anywhere in the Maldives - this IS the place. Simply spectacular and you will have amazing memories to cherish forever. Best holiday ever!

My husband surprised me recently with a trip to Cheval Blanc Randheli for my birthday. What an experience it was. We had the most amazing time.

The level of service is above all we have experienced before. I was riding my bike but my long dress got caught in the chain. Came a lot of the staff to try to help me, then came Laurent the GM, who said to leave my dress and bicycle with them (I was able to remove my dress, having a bathing suit underneath). Laurent lent me his bicycle. He told me they will send my dress to laundry and replace my bicycle back to our villa. At the end of the day, my dress was washed and pressed back in the walking closet!

I would like to give a special thank you to our Majordome Alau who was discreet, efficient, always smiling, always there when needed.

Nilesh was the king of cocktails, he made us drinks out of the blue, his creation. We have then connected on social media where he said he would share his recipe should we want it.

Laurent the GM was extremely nice and welcoming, accommodating with a change of room for us to enjoy a different experience during our stay. We were first in a Lagoon Villa, then moved to a Beach Villa...both of the villas were superb.

The breakfast menu is out of this world, with so many to chose from.
Once you pick your viennoiserie, the staff will happily take it to have it warmed up, your bread will be toasted to perfection. The extensive menu will offer so many fresh juices, with detox options, and food from all parts of the world: Asian, Middle Eastern, European... The chef might come around with a dish he created, not on the menu, just to please you. The attention to detail is unbelievable.

We will be back Cheval Blanc Randheli! What a treat, I will treasure those images in my head for a long time...until we make it back out there.

I recently had the pleasure of being a guest of this wonderful hotel. For 18 days of rest I enjoyed every moment. The whole atmosphere is made so that a person is actually happy. Each hotel staff is especially friendly, the food is very tasty, the service is first class. I especially want to thank several employees who differ from others with their professionalism and sensitive attention to customers. This is our house manager Ashra, she is a wonderful person and gave us high service and we felt very comfortable every day, she organized everything herself and always guessed ahead of time what we would like. I am very grateful to her. The guys from the restaurant, who were distinguished by special professionalism, did everything to make us happy, this is a friendly and modest girl named Anel, Mabruk and Mantu. I also especially want to write about the trainer in the gym, his name is Roman. I did several exercises with him, where he showed me in detail the correct technique, so that there was a result and the training was as safe as possible for health. I have been doing fitness for many years with a personal trainer, but I have not yet met such a competent trainer, I highly recommend everyone to take training with Roman, he is a really knowledgeable trainer. If I could, I would invite him to London to train with him.

In the end, I am very satisfied with everything, they do everything to make you want to come back again and again.

If you want some privacy and a good view - choose villa 31. It will offer you a miraculous view, private pool, Japanese dining place and two separate houses, you also get a personal beach. As we have several restaurants on the island, our dress code recommendation will be: - Fine dining restaurant Le 1947: dress code is 'island chic'; beachwear will not be appropriate, flat sandals would be perfectly fine. - Other restaurants: there is no official dress code you can wear sandals or flip flops by the beach without any problem.
