Be prepared for a lifetime experience. We had absolutely no experience either skiing, snowboarding or god forbid dog sledding! But a Marcel and Kristal were just awesome, giving us gentle guidance and above all confidence. The first 10 minutes was horrendous, three crashes, no injuries and the dogs just looked at us and said bloody Australians. But we did it,...

I stayed at the Lodge over Christmas, 2014. I have come away wondering how I will ever be able to recapture the magic and pure bliss that the experience of the Husky Lodge gave me. My cabin was so cozy and warm and is now in my mind as my go to "Happy Place" when i am struggling with the...

Raindeer rugs, husky dogs, feather lampshades, ....puppy training, poop scoop, doggie hugs .....great food in unique dishes, getting to meet Sven and Christal, beautifully decorated cabins. We were overwhelmed when we walked into our cottage/cabin. It took us ages to see everything and to remark on how special everything was...including heated floors. We stayed as a family of four in one of the new cabins with bathroom. From our first welcome we were looked after with great generosity. We had an amazing day watching the dogs in training on their lovely paradise of an island and had fun tours paddling on the river and visiting the local Sami parliament and park. We...

Uniquely and individually designed cabins, all handcrafted by Sven himself, and wonderful home cooked meals from Christal, who both go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Husky dog safari onto the Finmark plateau is a wonderful experience, staying in basic reindeer herder's cabins. The dogs are very well...

After returning from a 2 week ski across the Finnmark plateau, the lodge was the perfect place to finish. We enjoyed the warm welcome, incredible rooms, delicious breakfast and dinners and fantastic puppy training sled rides! A quality place with a great heart. Thanks for having us. We would come again in a heartbeat.

Dont let the title mislead - the husky dogs were very quiet and did not disturb us in any way. This place is magical - set in a wooded haven just outside of Karasjok. Our cabin was the Danskar which has ensuite facilities. Sven Engholm has truly created a wonderland here. We enjoyed every minute of our stay including the...
