Big, clean and comfortable room, with great views over the river and main street. Good breakfast, with friendly staff. Very close to night markets. Outside staff always helpful with arranging a place to park the car.

If you intend to visit non-tourist place Tak, this is a comfortable place to stay. Friendly staff, big rooms and pretty clean. However, the rooms and furniture are really old and are ready to be renovated. Also, we wanted a foot massage, but were confronted with a bunch of prostitutes when we entered the hotel's massage salon. Dinner is pretty good, breakfast could be better.

Advise:
* ask for riverview, really nice
* try not to have a room near the karaoke, continues untill midnight
* if you're not looking for some adult fun, don't go to the massage salon

I just stay here 2 days ago. It's nice hotel and easy to have dinner near my place. Small swimming pool but not private because it near the lobby. I only don't like the noicy of pub or Karaoke at this hotel.

Stayed just one night, in a "deluxe" room on floor 5. Check in was quick and easy, with friendly staff speaking English. Room had a double bed, desk, table & chairs, wardrobe (with fancy bathrobes), fridge and kettle, TV, hot shower, modernized AC unit, and a great view of the river area. Also a minibar. Wifi was ok until evening, then it slowed down too much. Back up to speed in the morning though. Hotel has a carpark in front of and behind the building. Attendant was there to guide my car in and out of the stall, and he even assisted as I checked the engine oil level. Didn't use the swimming pool, but it looked inviting. There's a restaurant and a lounge on site, but I didn't eat there so can't comment on the food. They also offer in-room thai massage for 180 thb. Excellent value hotel, would absolutely return.

the overall surroundings of the hotel is the best view in town. The room with the panorama view of Ping river is amazing. The staffs in every section was done the excellent job, they all have service-mind, very friendly and well-trained. The overall service is over expectation.
Restaurant is also recommended.
Surely stay again when coming to Tak next time.

The hotel is located in Tak, around half way from Bangkok to the popular northern destinations such as ChiangMai, Chiang Rai, and Mae Hong Son. So I recommend everyone who drives their own vehicles from Bangkok to the North to stop for a night here, so you wont' be too tired and fall asleep while driving. It takes around 4-5 hours to drive from Bangkok and 4-5 hours from here to Chiang Mai.

The hotel is next to the Ping river so you can enjoy nice view. We like that the door is opened by key card and everything in the room is modern and adequate for a quick stay. A Big refrigerator. Centralized lighting system. The best deal is perhaps the breakfast which offers a greater variety than other hotels in Thailand at this price range. My wife's favorite is pancake and honey. We're very happy staying here for the price we paid and we always come back here every time we travel to the north. Highly recommended if you want a quick stay.

I and my partner stayed here for a night and had a really warm welcome by the staffs. The breakfast was really nice. So many choices. It was the first time I tried "Kaw Tom Tak" or soft-boil rice with pork mixing with curry powder (Authentic breakfast in these areas). I'm Thai but never try this dish before. The hotel itself is pretty old but It's in a good maintaining. The location is perfect. It's located just next to the flea market and just 100 meters from 7-11, a well-know convenience store in Thailand. The room was really good. You can see the Ping river from the room from almost every room (I guess). Overall, nothing to complain about a price I paid for (Below a thousand THB for a twin room).

Staff were very helpful when we needed help with a puncture. The room was nice and big and the bathroom had more products than a lot of hotels I have stayed in. The bed linen was lovely and white and the pillows were so comfortable, unfortunately the mattress was uncomfortable. The breakfast buffet had a good choice and a coffee machine. Service was good, its a great location not far from the main highway, we stopped here for a night on our way north, good value for money, Not a bad stay.

Review viangtak hotel Tak
I travel quite often from Bangkok to Chiang Mai.
I always make a stopover at Viangtak Hotel. On the the way up and down.
It is absolut the best choice in Tak. Very good location on the river with the market and sometimes boat races.
The rooms are big and clean, the personnel exceptional helpful and nice.
If you like for breakfast "Khao Tom" , then this is special! But also the "farangs" don't have problems.
There is a beautiful terrasse with a pool and a view to the river and a grandiose sunset.
The food is excellent and very cheap compared to Bangkok .

I enjoyed staying here on my way to Chiang Rai riding my newly acquired motor bike from Bangkok. I had a river view and was on the 4th floor, the bed was very comfortable and the room big with a good size fridge, usually there are 2 free bottles of water, not so here. Bathroom good with good water supply.
Would reccommend this hotelas a stop off. Night market excellent choice of food.
I paid 800 baht so about $28 Oz which was veery good.
