My wife arranged a surprise weekend away over the August Bank Holiday. She booked for one night here. The garden was lovely and the communal areas clean. The gentleman who showed us to our room was very friendly, as were the rest of the staff, if a little distracted at times. Generally the hotel was good but little things let...

Dear ian l I appreciate you taking the time to review your recent stay. Thank you for your constructive comments regarding room12 and the issues with the jam and marmalade at breakfast. We have a rolling program of room refurbishment and room 12 is on the list for redecoration this autumn. I think that the issue with the jam and...

We got a room last minute - which was a small double but was big enough for the 2 of us for the one night. The hotel is lovely - nice big gardens for a drink, a large palour room with games and very tastelful decorations. We had a drink in the garden, then had a meal in the bar...

My wife booked the pudding club as a birthday treat and payed for an upgraded room. When we arrived the receptionist was very helpful and showed us to our room. I thought the room was a bit lacking for an upgraded room, but the tea / coffee facilities and Moulton Brown toiletries were nice. The pudding club itself was fairly...

Dear Richard B I am sorry that you did not enjoy your recent visit to the Pudding Club. The focus of the evening is a fun and social event with couples sat together on larger tables, the main course we offer we describe as modest which is then followed by 7 traditional puddings. It may well be that the format...

A two night stay with both nights eating at the restaurant. The food was good, the wine fine and the puddings to due for. If you don't like the sponge or suet puddings they are famous for you are missing a treat. The most unfortunate thing is they don't do all the puddings so each night they have a different...

Lovely Hotel. Helpful reception staff. Seemingly clean. Good breakfast. Good location. We checked in and my mother was shown to her very nice, spacious, room with bathroom. My husband and I were shown to a squeezed-in garret room under the eaves with a double bed and a shower room in a cupboard. I queried the difference given that the price...

Dear S0mersetsal I appreciate you taking the time to review your recent stay , it is good to know that you and your family enjoyed your stay. This is a very below average establishment. The rooms are very small and the service on arrival was dismissive to say the least. The only good point was a good breakfast, but this said it was self service from a hot trolley so it was at best less than fresh. Would never stay again.

Dear TerryFindonValley I am sorry that you were so disappointed with your recent stay, it would be very useful if you could phone or email me so that I can establish what went so wrong. I think from the general level of reviews that we get and our 4.5 rating on tripadvisor we normally have very happy guests, it would...

I booked the Pudding Club, which is held in this hotel, having heard about it on the radio. We were celebrating a friend's birthday. What a fun night, especially if you have a sweet tooth, which my friend has! She loved every minute and the challenge is to eat 7 puddings and if you do you get a certificate! The...

On arrival we thought this hotel looked idyllic and we were very much looking forward to our weekend to celebrate a very special family occasion. Unfortunately this turned out to be the worst hotel stay with the worst customer service experience any of us had have ever received. Sadly it turned out to be a weekend we wish to forget....

We often stay in the Cotswolds, But on this occasion we fancied a quieter place to stay away from The tourist areas. The Three Ways at Mickleton Is quiet , Clean and well worth a visit. We stayed for 4 days, enjoying food i the Hotel and other places in the Village

Very comfortable room, excellent friendly service by all staff for whatever your need. Great dinner and then "The Pudding Club" meeting and sampling four of many! Absolutely delicious! First stop in the English countryside and what a treat.
