Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My husband and I recently celebrated our wedding anniversary & his birthday at this lovely hotel. The staff were all excellent & welcoming. They constantly checked that we were happy & comfortable. We stayed in the Cotswold room. It was very luxurious, and huge. The bed was comfortable and both the room & bathroom were clean and tidy. There were also coffee & tea facilities and some shortbread biscuits which were a good touch. We spent 2 nights there. The first night eating in was very noisy and busy due to the locals gathering at the bar, as we had to eat in the Bistro due to the main restaurant being refurbished. We were moved to a separate section which was a bit more intimate. We also had breakfast the first morning there which was quieter. On our last morning we were able to have breakfast in the newly refurbished restaurant which was so nice! There’s plenty of space there and plenty option for a cooked or cold breakfast. We would love to return again one day and highly recommend visiting.

Room Tip: The bar gets a bit busy due to the locals coming in. But it’s very welcoming :)

PUDDING CLUB REVIEW: Its a wonderful building, with a very warm and welcoming bar at front of house and as far as positives go we thought the small main was great, we both had the beef. Unfortunately, we were very dissatisfied with the other parts of the evening. On arrival there wasnt any direction to the room hosting the pudding club, after waiting at the bar we were finally directed to the room with inadequate, cramped seating. The young lady comparing the evening, hopefully just her first time, was incredibly disjointed and nervous and we felt sorry for her as her delivery was so poor. The rest of the staff serving were limited in their knowledge or any qualities of a service team,(there was a younger guy however with braces who was the best one there). The room was more than capable to handle the number of people but unfortunately the lay out meant we were tightly squeezed onto tables and people struggled to get around to queue for the deserts. We were applaud to be notified that there were no refills for the very small tea and coffee provided and that any extra standard tea or coffee would need to be purchased separately. Given the sweetness of the desserts, tea and coffee compliments them very well. Finally, the puddings themselves were at best good enough, which in itself was a little disappointing, given its the main reason for the evening.

Six of us went for late Sunday afternoon lunch, we’re all locals but hadn’t tried the food here for some time. We all had excellent meals, most of us three courses & it was all exceptional, as was the service!! I had venison carpaccio with rocket & Parmesan followed by succulent chicken breast with creamy greens & dauphinoise, but swapped sauce for regular gravy. They even gave me a Yorkshire too! Then had as much as you can eat from Pudding Club trolley 😱 Syrup Sponge, spotted dick, Jam & coconut or sticky ginger sponge, all with lashings of custard!!!! All for less than £30 per head. So lucky to have a few very good places to eat in our small Cotswold village, will certainly be going back again very soon 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Lovely hotel and a great sized room. Very friendly staff especially at breakfast which had a great choice. Would definitely stay again as I think it was well priced. Only 1 thing there were clothes in the draws, pants, socks and a t-shirt which is a little odd. We did have all the dirty laundry left in the room but that was soon sorted quickly. Definitely would stay again and would recommend for starting the Cotswolds way walk at Chipping Campden about 10 mins car journey away. Plenty of free car parking.

What a lovely treat to have at Christmas . A tradition afternoon tea at the Three-ways Hotel Mickleton. The fresh festive decorations are beautiful all we needed was a sprinkling of snow to make the building a scene from a Christmas card. The main event was a feast for the eyes. Fresh brown and white thin cut brown and white sandwiches packed with delicious traditional fillings. A cake stand followed with a sumptuous selection of scones, warmed with jams and cream, ice cream profiteroles, mini sticky toffee bun, chocolate log and my personal favorite traditional Christmas cake. The tea was plentiful and served by a pleasant attentive waitress.

Last year I was a tad disappointed but the new owners had only just taken over so it was perhaps unfair to be too disparaging. Our 1 night stay this December was much better - dinner was in the wine bar area and the food of a high standard, well presented. Only disappointment- no ‘pudding club’ puddings. I miss the treacle sponge etc.! Staff welcoming and helpful, especially those serving breakfast.

Terrible from start to finish. We booked this hotel for a local getaway to home. Very cold welcome, staff clearly need some training in basic customer service. Rooms very basic and shabby and in desperate need of a makeover and a thorough clean! Food was hit and miss. Poor hygiene levels in the restaurant which worried me that this also extended into the kitchen, YUCK! Avoid this hotel, there are plenty of other lovely hotel options in the area.
