We had an incredible time at the Cherrapunjee Holiday Resort. Like many other reviews state, this may not fit your definition of "resort," but there is no better place to stay in this region. Our room was basic but clean and comfortable. The location is great for proximity to root bridges and other treks. The food is fantastic! Some of...

First of all this is not a resort that we get to see in other Cities of India, but considering the facilities that is provided by this accommodation at a small village near Cherapunjee, I would say it is no less than a resort either. We chose this place based on the fact that this is nearest to the Root...

This is a clean and functional hotel rather than a resort. The front desk are warm, welcoming and most accommodating. Food and lodging are good - clean, safe and functional, as it's not a luxury stay hotel. The views from the hotel are beautiful. Great panorama of the hills, village, sunrises and sunsets. It's close to most trekking places and...

Its right in the midst of nature, you have to visit it, awesome treks. Nice friendly people running the place and they do all they can to help you. We did the single Decker bridge which is apparently the easiest trek and its not am easy one if you are not an avid trekker. The guide is helpful. You will...

Cherrapunji really doesn't have many accommodation options and this can be your best bet. The rooms are decent. They have all basic facilities. What is mainly missing is an intercom. Don't have some star level expectation, it's just basic and decent. There is play area for kids, so they would enjoy. There is vegetarian food, specially south indian :) Yippie! It...

We had an amazing stay here, very warm staff, nice sitting area outside, bonfire at night. And the staff is very warm n polite, and they did play nicely with my...

only one regret! should have stayed there for more than one day. rooms were up to level for such a remote place. one will need a car to go there. view from the front is just spectacular. 'jado chicken' and 'chicken neiwang' (spelling may be incorrect; sorry!) must be tried. the staffs(aunty and her daughters) were so good to us....

This is a small property that's run by a family with great attitude! Rooms, though small have excellent views of the valley beneath. Nice homely food too! Do keep in mind that its located about 17kms from the main town and drive to the town could take anywhere between 30-45mins depending on the weather (rain/fog).

We stayed one night at Cherrapunjee Holiday Resort on 21st october, 2016. We reached there around 6 pm, last 10 km journey was in the dark but enthralling. In dim glow of car's headlight we noticed a number signboards of the resort, each of which highlighted aspects like eco-tourism, adventure and rural khasi culture. We were greeted at reception by...
