I was so excited to see a stunning building in Kalamata and had high hopes as it was 4* rated... I booked on the spot and went to my room feeling like a queen.... Oh so disappointed! The room is reminiscent from 1970s on a good day. The curtains thin and old, the mattress hard as rocks ( how do...

I went to Kalamata on a business trip and on arrival saw this hotel. It is located in the center of the city; the rooms are spacious, very clean and quiet. The breakfast buffet is incredible. I loved the fact that there was a very large variety plus local delicacies. One morning I had to leave at 5am and upon...

We stayed in this hotel for one night in June 2013. Its position within walkable distance of the bus station was a plus for us. It's close to the shops and the old town but it is quite a hike to the marina. Whilst a little old-fashioned the room was clean if not spacious. The air-conditioning was ineffective. We had...

Hotel was good, but no refrigerator in the room. Window sight is good. Room was small, but neat. Meteora is wonderful. The breakfast was poor, untasty olives, bad coffee. Local shops do not accept credit cards.

It's situated in the center of the city but a little bit far from the beach. The rooms are very comfortable and clean the stuff is very nice and also the restaurant has very tasty dishes. We arrived without reservation and we were given a very good offer for 2 nights. I definately recommend it.

I arrived at this hotel exactly one week ago (15th November 2011), laden down with suitcase after travelling to Kalamata from Aghios Nikolaos/Stoupa by bus. After enquiring in town as to the whereabouts of a hotel in Kalamata, I was pointed in the direction of Hotel Rex by a local. I arrived at about 11am and enquired in English (my...

I actually have not stayed in the hotel but have always had lunch at the restaurant whenever I am in Kalamata for business. So, this is a review of the hotel's restaurant, rather than the hotel itself. The restaurant is a big hit with the older generations of locals who either come and have lunch here or get their take...

Very nice hotel in good location, friendly staff, clean rooms, rich breakfast... it was a nice surprise, because not all 4* hotels in Greece are like this. I really recommend staying there.
